Several different bugs

The first and most known, the PB issue. I wont talk about it as there's already a lot of threads up about it, but needless to say; IT NEEDS A FIX. I can't join 90% of PR servers because of it, it's killing the game.

Secondly, and the main reason for making this thread is a bug that so far I've only seen encountered by myself. As of recent ([.8]), whenever I join a server and am NOT kicked by PB, I can't move my mouse/keyboard. They pretty much shut off.

I click, move the mouse, ctrl-alt-delete, alt-tab, and try unplugging/replugging them into different USB ports around my computer. Nothing works, it's as though they're fried. However, once I manually power down and restart my computer, they work again. I start up PR, and they still work. They work all the way until I get into a room at the squad/kit selection screen, and they power off. The game isn't frozen, I can see the ticker on the side of the screen moving. I can hear sound. I can see everything. But my mouse and keyboard are powered down for some reason.

I have never encountered this before now, not yesterday, and certainly not in past versions. It seems that just today, in the past hour, this has started happening, and I have no idea if it's something on my end (unlikely, all other games/applications work fine, only PR shuts them down) or if it's a new bug in PR.

Any help would be much appreciated. Now once I find a server that doesn't PB kick me, I just end up with a frozen mouse/keyboard.

All known and relevant information about my PC:

System: Windows XP Home Edition

CPU: Pentium 4 CPU 2.60GHz

Video Card: ATI Radeon 2600XT

RAM: 1.5gb

Mouse and Keyboard: Some old Gateway model keyboard (good condition) and a new Logitech MX400 mouse.

All drivers are up to date, as well.

Does PR have anything to do with PB? I'd imagine I won't be able to join any vBF2 servers because I'd probably get the same PB errors as joining a PR server. So I wouldn't say it's PR's fault that there's issues with PB.

I had something similar once, but not exactly the same. Have you tried resetting the controls to default?

It's funny, I did that last night and it fixed it...

Yeah, I think it accidentally wiped the control preferences entirely for whatever odd reason.

Well, I assume it's a problem between PR and PB, as I'm not having problems in Vanilla BF2 or any other game. So yeah.
