Militia asset requirement changes, also the scout
Here's another one of EG's useless posts on how to make the militia even more different from conventional forces -- this time in the asset department.
Now that the militia are back to requiring a command post to deploy assets (that is, someone sitting in it) if there is a commander (countered by the ability to deploy them without a commander), I think some slight changes in how the militia can deploy assets would be good. I suggest that we deploy assets like rally points -- no material requirements -- but require Officer + 3-4 squad members. This allows us to set up fire bases and bunkers without the risk of having to bring a truck everywhere we go. This is much quieter and allows assets to be deployed anywhere that trucks cannot go.
Also, as for the scout kit, can we remove his landmine and give that to the rifleman w/ SKS, in place of his ammo bag? Giving a scout landmines seems a little weird to me...

I wouldn't mind giving the scout a 2x magnification on his rifle...

Gaven, I brought up giving him an SKS with those 2 or 3x civilian scopes, but it didn't prove popular.

I like the idea, the people who don't like it are just scared that they'd have to be more careful.Expendable Grunt wrote:Gaven, I brought up giving him an SKS with those 2 or 3x civilian scopes, but it didn't prove popular.

When i saw the new milita scout i sayed to myself in the next version, we'll probably see some soldiers equipped with bows arrows and swords. Was second big shock for me, after the huge spawn times of collobarators.
Btw i think a lee-enfield is much more expensive than an ak-47,especially if you are an ex-red army insurgent, fighting in ex-soviet territory.

I agree, there is no point in giving them a lee enfield. Give them (back?) the mosin, makes much more sence. I agree with first post, make militia as unlike the conventional forces as possible!

A pl0x to be talking about the assets, not the loss of the SKS.

Yep thats right guys, stay on topic.Expendable Grunt wrote:A pl0x to be talking about the assets, not the loss of the SKS.
I do like the idea of letting the militia do this. After all, IMO they are a local militia that knows the land, but at the same time, they do need supplys to build them.

So, no truck requirement = good or bad?
