Field dressing.

I have been playing PR 0.8 since the day 4 of its release.
And I foud out that field dressiing in 0.8 is mostly useless.
Not a single time if I got shot, single field dressing stop the bleeding.
I think it was done to make medic role more important. But not in all situation medic is available.

So my question to the DEV is, was it planned to make dressing so weak or it will be changed if future release.

A field dressing heals 20% health as of .756, I don't think they've changed it for .8. However the bleed threshold has gone from 50%, to 75%, so use your dressing accordingly.

Dressings were mistakenly set to 4.3ish seconds and have been cut down in a future release.

The field dressing is pretty much a temporary measure. It gives you more time (I can't tell you exactly how much) to contact or find a medic. It usually won't put you past the 75hp threshold (as the threshold is pretty high and getting shot does a lot of damage), but it does buy you a bit more time.

Maybe you are right daranz. But since it takes a lot of time to bleed to death (if you not in black and white vision ofter geting shot) roughly 2-3 min.
And since dressing is so weak it will give you about 30 sec boost.

Think of it this way. If you're shot, a single 4x4 and a roll of gauze is not going to stop or control bleeding. Hence why you seek medical attention.

Those field dressings are to buy extra time to get a visit from a medic, and they DO buy a lot of extra time, (and let you see better depending on how far gone you are xD)
