Remove the 10 ticket siren

Post by bad_nade »

Title says it all. The 10 ticket siren should be removed because lots of people, especially on ins maps, thinks that game is over and stops playing. Or even worse, starts teamkilling and wasting assets, like landing a helo at mosque or something equally stupid.

But I've seen several cases where brits/US have blown up the last cache long after the siren because they didn't stop playing. Just couple of days ago I was playing as a brit on Bashrah. After the siren our team still managed to take out three caches and win the round. When the last cache got blown up, we had only 1 ticket left (result was 11 - 1).

Why?
You can still see the ticket count anyways.

I think that the siren should stay purely for the player's sake.

Had a great round with your squadmates? Hear the siren, take a squad picture. Take a screenshot of the score board.

Had a round that wasn't filled with bunny hopping, cheating, complaining/moaning? Hear the siren, say "GG" or "Good game" in the chat.

Have a friend who hates the map that it is currently one, but wants to play the next one? Hear the siren, bring up X-Fire and notify them.

Like I said, on insugency maps the game is not over when siren plays and no one should stop playing.

In AAS maps where a team can be steamrollered and beaten into ticket bleed situation the siren understandable, but nowhere else. Actually, on these maps siren should play when bleed starts, not at 10 tickets.

Well, at AAS it should stay at least, i love it there. I can understand that you dont want it at insurgency if you're right in front of the last cache and people go crazy and kill themselves, wasting the 10 tickets while the C4 timer is running. Or so.

The siren could start a bit later though, that'd be still enough time to say "gg".

Best thing would be a chat after the game is over, like, a 2 minutes debrief time after the game is over with nothing but a chat, with the squads still existing and people being able to use VoIP. No idea if thats possible or pointless.

The siren scares me.

No... no it wouldn't. To be honest, that for me would be kinda annoying, my after game time is loading for the next map, the thing is, I know if my team is close to winning, so if the siren goes, I don't stop, I think this is a player thing rather than a game thing, leave the siren be and how it is now because it ain't broke, so don't try and fix it.

I wish the siren wasn't that loud and dragged out. On the insurgent team, it often does not mean imminent defeat, as there's still one more cache that the conventional army has to neutralize. Except when it's starts and you're talking on the voip YOU NEED TO START SPEAKING LOUDER BECAUSE THERE'S THIS LOUD SIREN IN YOUR EARS. A notification is fine, but it's annoying if you're listening for the enemy and suddenly you have this loud sound playing.
