ok hey everyone i am new here and i LOVE teh PR mods, and i hate the vanilla bf2 soooo . i was thinking of a way to make the spawning system more real.
1. when your squad has a rally down you can paradrop in in tha area
2.at the main bases there could be some type of apc where everone spawns in, so it seesms like you are brought in and are exiting the APC.

that is my input! hope you like it.

I've seen the apc thing done before and its not pretty. People yell at each other for moving the apc and its just a mess. The para-dropping wouldn't have any use and would probably blow your squads position if seen (and it probably would since nothing else is ever in the sky). Now a plane designed for para-dropping would be cool since you could get troops behind enemy lines.

Or just make 1 apc not drivable.... And for the para-drop thing, maybe if they didn't spawn on the rally point but the commander could set a spawn for the paratroopers and last for I don't know :roll: 10 minutes?

I like that idea. I get the realism thing for not letting everyone carry a parachute around, but this idea could add something special to the game. Dropping a bunch of pilots is not very threatening, and helo's are just the wrong way to go. A plane that allowed one to spawn a specialized kit (all kits, except with an added one time use parachute - maybe it could be an equipped item) would be awesome.

On that note, sort of, I'd like to see some of the larger helo's allow for fast roping a squad onto an LZ instead of landing. I've seen too many people die because the pilots don't know how to get the plane onto the ground, and throwing a grapple out the back is just not the way to go.

that is what i ment by the apc. a non-movable one, and i like the paratroping idea for paratroopers

sadly a non-movable apc is just like... another spawn point :(

instead we need some forward positions, and treat the main base like "reinforcements".... cause after a certain amount of time the forward position could like explode, and then reinforcements come..

and we need imbalance!

About the para dropping idea, ummm, no one but pilots have chutes... yeah...

0.5 had a para spawn point on airport map very funny ,new players would splat on the tarmac :) ,the idea of an apc spawn would work better with it coming half way into the game on the edge of the map and only last for 10 mins or so like a drop of point for back up troops

APC spawn was removed from PR, what makes anyone think it's coming back?

BF2 engine sucks to much to have fast ropes, and vehicles can only have 8 people it's hard coded. :?

ye it does suck tbh, but i dont care tbh. The Mod seems real enough to me atm...
