I really think the training mode should be removed and only made to small lANs and not full public, its just PR stuff in vBF2 setting which ends up brings noobs who play and then come on full servers thinking its the same.
I hate to say it but when the new patch was released the DEV's main focus seemed to be how many downloads rather than the quality of the people playing. This was what really made me feel like it was drifing towards vanilla.
And I think they made it teh best possible but still wlot of downloads and not many playing means its bad or something is really wrong.

I'm looking for a decent game that's been (most of which EA get their hands on a f**k up beyond rational thought) developed beyond the minds of globally dominating, smacktardingly weak excuses for game publishing comapnies...

I don't know what kind of game you love-lost people are looking for but I've found it here and it's free!

well.... there are just those certain aspects that have been changed in PR to make it better and more realistic, but... it drew me away from the game. Its not that i dont want to be cooridinated and such, but at this moment, i quit PR due to .8 and im doing arma all the way. Tactical gamer and tactigamingcentral are two of the best servers in arma and it delivers the best teamwork iv ever seen.
It could also be part that i got everythign upgraded in my pc which i can run everygame i have now at the highest settings (including crysis). Until there are some changes in the next version i dont think il be coming back, maybe just here and there. Wow, i feel sad writing this. Its like a will right before death.

-rally point system... destroying one is more about luck and coicidence of running in the vicinity.. really i'm sure all you have to do is have a low flying helo go across the map with a full squad, and you're good.... but i'm not sure if thats how it's coded
afaik, if u are in a vehicle you can't overrun rallies, 3 infantrymen (or perhaps 3 vehicles?) have to be within 50 m

People have been complaining about the rally point system to be over VOIP. I say to them that the rally point is not a REAL thing, its a physical manifestation of a location that IRL would be chosen as a fall back point and reinforcement RV point.

That a squad can enter an area, and secure it without having to find that cleverly hidden bunch of bags is FAR MORE REALISTIC than 0.75. "that rally point is in the tree" or "that rally point is behind the rock" *runs over and is about to knife but dies at the unmerciful automatic fire from som1 who just spawned behind him*

This man knows what he's saying.

You've summed up exactly what I've said to quite a few people, Rudd. Things have to be done to hide the most unrealistic thing in game that we can't do without... Spawning. The new RP system is a huge step forward, i love it.

I didn't love it until Rudd said to me that you had to be within 50m or whatever the distance is for 30 seconds! If that is true, then that is excellent.

as with previous versions you just got to find the right server, and that doesn't mean the one with all the [R-...] on cos that wont necessarily be the right server for your gameplay (no offence)
I swap between around 4 servers, only one of them I used to play on in earlier versions and now it has got so popular sometimes the games aren't that good, but when it is good it is worth it.

iGi, T&T are my main ones nowadays, I generally avoid TG, 10th and a couple others just because I had bad experiences there, also they are the ones ALWAYS full :p But I'm not saying they are bad servers, its just I personally never had lots of fun like on iGi and T&T, but thats probably because I know most of the guys from there.

TG perma banned me for saying the "F" word too much, so now i play on Texas Teamplayers and that Chicago H server. used to be HOG clan.

Punkbuster is my biggest complaint and only so much can be done to deal with that. I have all the fixes .bat filed and everything else. So a few times a week I have to arm wrestle with PB and its BS.

As for gameplay changes for .8 I have adapted to most of them without issue. I think the commander needs some more polishing though. I rarely see people do commander at all since .75. When they do it's rare squadleaders even regard them anymore. The command position needs to get back some incentive to play it as well as some -power- over the SL's.

As for the community . .just find the right server. You get some foolish pubs anywhere in any game. I mean hey it is the internet. ::Shrug::

Find a regular crew to hang out with and make some in game friends.

dito.
0,8 may be realistic - but the fun (.75) is gone and that's what it still should be: a GAME and FUN.

otherwise you could just join the army/some private army like blackwater and try to survive - that's 1.0 real life i'd say ;)

massive lack of team players , every server playing the same maps ,there used to be proper 16 and 32 maps that were sized for players now there's 16 or 64 and both are full size ,people are getting board very quick because there's no variety anymore, i like the game play think its the best its been just lack of map choices
