Question about Depth.

After playing the crysis demo again. And coming back to PR i'm left wondering. Is the depth of field able to be increased? In other words. Can I see as far in BF2/PR as I can in real life or not? Also what's the depth of field in real life? On a perfectly flat plain I heard it's somewhere around 3 miles(Thats when the earth curves) is this true?

Once I suggested if were possible to add the DOF from FH2 to PR.

But I think the BF2 engine is now at it's limit with PR.

The view distance could be increased, From my tests on kashan and other maps you can push it up to about 5km. But alot of people would lag, So if it were to be pushed to that distance you would need to edit alot of the objects so they have better lods for longer distances and then people would still need to buy new hardware to run pr. I think pr should increase the view distance for every level 10% each release, If someone is laging after that they should A) turn down their settings B) buy a new videocard

I'd like to see the image sharpness to be increased over distance. With all the new models and skins, I get weird edges on buildings if they are beyond a certain point, not like the crisper images I see in vBF2. It just puts me off at times, but I can deal with it.

crisper images in vBF2??? maybe close up they look o.k. but vBF2 has nowhere near the view distance PR has! Beyond the "certain point" you can't see anything but fog in vBF2

I think by 'weird edges' you mean aliasing
