Thankyou, i'm currently painting the whole 4km map by hand and adding new roads and fixing the old ones. Once done with that I will be fixing the small hills and redoing the stuff that doesn't look natural. I have added some blackhawks and stuff to help me find bugs and not a slow hummv. :p Ill post pics next week.

wow you are painting in your textures by hand?! I would kill myself if I had to do that.

Well i was using TPaint, but when [R-Dev]Dr_Rank looked at the map, he said i should do it by hand for the best result. So I will follow his word.

I do all my maps by hand , i find it theraputic . . =D

sounds like a good map . . patience is key :P and don't go rushing it to meet demands. =) i want to play on this map knowing its 100% yours XD

Just to give everyone a heads up, tonight I will be posting some pictures of the Main Operations Base. The base is somewhat large and will be one of 2 bases on the map. (1 ground and 1 smaller Forward FireBase.) These bases will allow the Turkish Forces to attack almost any where on the map in a short amount of time using the UH-60 Blackhawk's to jump over the hills and attack anywhere. At the same time, the Cobra light jeeps will roll out and move along the many highways to hit them from the ground.

The INS will have a mountian top village(Highest point on map) which will force the Turkish army to stay back and use the scopes to there advatage.


A question someone will ask:

What does the Main Base have?


The Main base(Pics tonight) will have the main roll out, it will have the Blackhawks and Cobra jeeps. With supporting rifle ranges and buildings to make it a real base.

What will the Forward FireBase have?

The forward base will have just Cobra light jeeps and will be the secondary roll out of them. This base I hope will have trenches around and be cappable by the INS. If the INS get it, they will get 3 technicals.

What you mean, I have some overgrowth and undergrowth. More will be added so i can do my buildings then more will be added. :p

Ya the mountains don't have any yet, they will once the buildings are placed and more textures. Since its mostly desert a few trees and stuff have been placed but the mountains will have alot of trees and undergrowth, expect it in the next month. :D

Here are 2 pictures of a start to the main base a a small construction site that will provide a safe haven for INS forces in there attacks on Turkish Forces, I hoped to have more but got alot less then i thought done. Both pics are from 3 hours ago, more has been done in both areas.

The rear of the base will have 3 helipads for the 3 UH-60 Blackhawks, the 3 garages will have 3 Cobras, 1 CO truck and a APC.

The Construction site will be as good as possible, more holes will be dug and some pipes added into the ground. 4 to 6 more buildings will be added. You cant see but cover in the buildings will be added for the perfect ambush. Extra pieces that could be attached to the crane will be added and a flatbed with wood or pipes will be setup out front.

And pwnage, I will do what you asked for on the map. :p

UPDATE: After alot of work on my halfday of school and spending only an hour playing PR ingame I returned to mapping. I spent over 8 hours yesterday mapping areas out and adding trees. (Black-wolf :p ) In the mountians i'm trying to bring the old conflict type setting, destroyed T-55's, BRDM's and dead soldiers. :D The idea of a massive mountian village i didnt think was right so, I in turn decided to make a nice small village surrounded by fields(ones on Basra) and will add the buildings after.

I also started the INS main and placed several bunkers around the hills. The areas around teh INS main will be hard fought and a steep climb for Turkish forces, the INS will have an advantage with teh defenses and there better close range AK-47's. Around te construction site I started to make a city around it. The main road is where all the big, tall buildings will be(Hotel and TV Station) I'm still deciding if the Muttrah Mosque is going to fit this map. I will start adding Muttrah buildings today and doing more city and mountian areas.

But since I cant be mean, I have been thinking about the Muttrah Fort as the main INS base, what do you guys think?

That's a point actually, are people allowed to run custom maps on PR under the server agreement? Dunno if anyone's had any mass public playtesting sessions online yet, but that'd be awesome :p
