One thing that bothers me quite alot is that you can't really see whether a vehicle is loaded with an ammobox or not as there atm is no possible way to put that mesh onto the vehicle and make it stick there.
BUT, if you treat the box as some kind of weapon or so, wouldn't it be possible to, just as you do with missiles on airplanes and such, use a dummy box (or what it's called) that will sit on the vehicle untill the box is dropped? Just like a bomb on an airplane.
If this would work (not sure if that function only applies to weapons) it could also be a possible fix to have the future chinook transport a jeep or such.
Ammoboxes visible on vehicles - a possible solution perhaps

this idea with the jeep has already come up afaik, the dutch community modders were agog at the possibilities a while back, But I'm not sure why you want to see an ammobox on the choppers. Its a nice idea, just don't think it gives much. "take us to Alpha 1 kp 3, drop box" pilot will just pagedown to tell me that isn't possible, or he'll get the commander to tell me.

This idea seems to be better if we were talking about airdropping vehicles like boats from choppers.
