I welcome that idea 100%. Thanks bro. I'd love to see this actually happen. I can definitely see how the UAV coding would work for the 25m enemy/cache detection. I haven't a clue if it could actually work, especially without the dog running into walls and such. But If someone in the development dept. would give it a shot I feel that it would be a great addition to the game. I don't think that I'm alone at all on this. I'd just like to hear an official call on if it could work or not.

I know, I'm a dog person, what can I say, I don't like shooting them in COD4 :(

what about those bots? Couldn't the dog be coded like a bot that always follows the person who has the "dog kit"? some modifications in the bot's comportment to act like a dog and I think the team could have a new member!

its sounds possible, look at 2142 and the sentry bots, it uses the same engine. just make the dog a "weapon" that when you hit its number you call it, and you can deploy it when its already following you. it could alert when an enemy is in the proximity, and all you would need is a model and animations of a dog running, walking, and crouching.

Maybe make the lonewolfes spawn as dogs, and if they went further than 30 metres away from the teamplayers they'd die ?

Hehehe.

give the ambusher a new weapon - Doggy treat :D

when the canine patrol comes around, throw the treat and thus rendering the dog harmless
