is anyone getting tired of seeing Renault 5s on insurgent maps? why cant we have somthing lightly more modern, like a white 5 door saloon with curvy edges rather than red and white card board boxes with wheels?
another queston is why have only red bomb cars? i know they are red so the british forces can tell if they are going to go boom or not. the real question is how come its nessesary to give off this big red warning sign...shouldnt they be more inconspicuous? seems like now every car gets shot at because you dont lose points when you destroy any of them.
the insurgents cars would be more usefull as well as interesting if they had more complications that came with them. in fact cars with civilians in them should give negetive points when blown up. i think the whole system with the cars needs to be rethought.
i also have a question unrelated to the cars.
Why were the spawn points on basrah removed? (specifically directed at a DEV)
any feedback would be greatly appresiated.

Re: insurgent cars
I'd like to see Taxis for the Insurgents (1980-1990s white cars with some orange panels on different parts of the vehicle).
Trucks would be nice too. I know there is the Civi truck in PR already, but that thing's more like a crazy monster truck than the Nissian a typical Iraqi/Afghani would be driving around.
Bicycles would be pretty cool as well. Only Civis should be able to use them though because I don't think Insurgents ride around on bicycles looking for Coalition forces to fight. And it would have to be that Coalition forces would be punished for killing a civi while he was riding his bike.
Other than that, vans would be cool too. Then there could be suicide vans and regular vans.
There's a lot of civi cars that could be added, but I don't really know where this ranks on my "Things I think should be important to the Dev's" list.

Bicycles are a big no. They would be too slow and civies would get shot out of them a lot.

a minivan would be kind of cool. You could make the guys in the car shoot out the windows from the front, sides, and rear. Kinda like a vanilla apc.

Rich Western civilians don't even have amphibious cars for the most part, and I don't think Iraqis have Jeeps with Snorkels on them.

baby steps...
Al basrah is a good example to start with. what kind of vehicle would you see most of in a war torn city?

Well if you want to say "war torn," the obvious answer is that blown up blue car that is often on the side of the street in PR. But I'm just giving you a hard time.

Insurgents need a supply type truck like this one....
http://www.krcg.com/uploadedImages/krcg ... uck(1).jpg
It could act like the technical and give rpg rounds, or maybe even drop a supply crate. And it should be able to hold 4-6 guys in back.
Also i'm all for making the bomb cars non-uniform. And punishing the people shooting collaborator cars. Would it be possible to have it not punish when they're within a certin distance. So if they come within 20m of a soldier they can be killed without punishment. This would avoid collaborators trying to run over soldiers.
A motorcycle IED would be cool too. Delivery bikes have big boxes on the back to stuff with explosives.

I like that truck, the motocycle not so much. Granted the INS have no business driving the dirtbike they have (which is actually a USMC dirtbike for recon), but I don't think motocycles are that necessary for useful. I use the dirtbike sometimes so I don't have to take a car to regroup with my squad or whatever, but I still don't like it.
