I really dislike people who change teams, especially on insurgency. some of you may have already seen my angry full caps lock protests ingame.

Team switching should remain enabled. It allows players who play together to do so. When friends don't get to play together they will stop playing on your server. Personally, I like to switch to teams that seem competent. They don't have to be the winning team but if I tire of dealing with incompetence I will switch. For example, I've been in games where teams refuse to press the attack, attack flags they can't take while flags that are supposed to be defended are overrun. Refuse to counter attack. Ignore the fact that they are getting overrun and drive off. Things like this will drive me to the other team.

The suggestion of disabling teamswitch is of course unrealistic. I know that as the reasons you listed make sense of course.
I just wanted to get some opinions on this issue and a statement like "disable X" will get more attention than simple rant about team switchers.
So overall the opinion goes that most people dont like teamswitching guys (that switch to asset or coaltion side) but find it very ok to switch teams to friends.
latter is also OK for me, but if it is just about playing with friends maybe those consider switching on the non HELI,JET l33t USMC side

There really arent too many maps where one team has a massive 'asset' advantage apart from carrier maps, and even then thats not really an advantage, just a different way of getting from A to B. All jet maps are balanced asset wise, so i really dont see the issue tbh
Disabling teamswitch is not the way forward at all, and autobalance is one of the main scourges of PR imo. Smart balance is what we need, with a 2-3 person leeway on either team to allow friends to play together, and allow the rest of the team the equivalent of an ejector seat if their team is really that wank.

Every server can set up a margin on autobalance I believe allowing a disparity of 0-x players. Buddies want to team up to play in the same team and usually they end up switching to the disadvanted side anyway seen as how teamswitchers stack the game 32/30 or something like that. I dont think it should be disabled, if there are 5 teamswitchers on the server only so many get to teamswitch. And like I said, if I want to get 4 buddies on the same side teamswitchers actually sort of help me out with that stacking the team the way that one squadmember can pass.

I play whatever team I'm assigned to except If my friend is on another team and I want to form a squad with him. I think teamswitching is very overused though, and It sucks when I'm contributing to my squad and team for a half hour and then get teamswitched!

making server rules to say no teamswitching would be too much work for admins. admins have to play too. servers are available on a first come first served basis. the earlier you are in a match the better. otherwise, your infantry.
after that comes the rule weather on not you are allowed lock squads. obviously admins dont like to see sniper squads which are locked with one dude in them. if you are organised and/or have a clan on one side who want privasy, then thats cool.
server admins cant and shouldnt be predjadust against players who have a right to select their own preferance. but admins should try their best to keep teams balanced...and they do.

I dislike trying to play with friends and having us all split up. Even bigger pain in the *** is when you finally get on the same team, and autobalance bounces you over.

i hate doing all the work to get one side on the advantage then get switched cause some idiot decides to team stack. many times i did all the planning between squads (no commander) to finaly get that team on the go, and some guy switches over and i get put on the team which just moments earlier i was screwing over.
i dont mind playing on the losing team, but i hate being switched over to a losing team because some idiot doesnt want to be on the losing side, wining team too for that matter. it annoys the hell out of me when i do my best effort to keep us in the fight and am on the verge of a succesfull counter attack, and all of a sudden i'm on the wining side. theres really nothing left for me to do, because some idiot realised he had crashed all of their assets and didnt want to wait for them to respawn and switches over.
i like sticking to the side i'm assigned and thats it, if they dont want to stay on there team go deffect to another server, dont make the autobalance send me over to the team i was trying to kill for the last hour.

me and 6 other guys from my clan were playing on a server with a 5 man locked squad because we were practicing with our clan members. we were then kicked from the server for having a locked squad. we had it locked because we were waiting for our other clan member to join our team because we couldent teamswitch. there should be something for clans with teamswitching.

every serve I played on has Auto Balance on- `cept for TG which Has a unique auto balance system that allows for minor discrepancies (two people)

my advice is join a clan and either run your own server, or get ur clan tag included in smart balance found on servers like iGi and Heros.

Why dont u guys blame the maps/assets' distribution instead of players.F.e if bunny hopping still worked,we'd see ppl bunnyhopping,or if dolphin diving was still as useful as it was in bf2 everyone would be bunyhopping.You can't change players but you can change the game.
On almost every map,coalition side has either lots of shiny toys or have new vehicles(tornado,harrier,huey,attack huey,scimitar,challenger,apache,stryker) or have their old vehicles redone(new blackhawk,betterprotected hmv etc.) while opposing forces have none or still have STOCK vehicles(mig,aircows,havocs,jeeps,APCs,tanks all are still stock bf2 vehicles).Devs are %80 of the time designing vehicles and air assets for coalition/nato forces and designing flyable stuff only/first for NATO.I think the reason behind that is there 4 opposing force factions, and 2 NATO factions,which means every asset of NATO is playable x2 times more than OF. assets.
Also since every boy in their life had at least once dreamed of being a pilot,and since PR is one of the few games with balanced realism,and giving te possibility of killing ground troops who are more then textured bots,and picking up/dropping real players in to hotzones(unlike in flight sims) people want to fly,even if they know they wont last more than 5 minutes in air.

I like autobalanced public servers. Okay, it sucks when you are in a good squad and getting switched but imho the sad truth is ppl give a rodents rear when the teams are unbalaced so admins have to force it.

Without teamswitch you will never get your team on one side...
And i like to play mec or chinese or or or...
Isnt such a big deal to get ne chopper if you there for sit in a nice AA
