squad kits

hello community, i was thinking about this idea a lot time and i belive that isnt posted before.
why not a standard kits per squad. ok i explain that... (bad english sorry)
in the first time of the game the people make the squad, and the laeder say to the SM the necesary kits for the mission... for example
SL: i need one medic one light at and the rest rifelman
SM: copy copy :p
this its a typical infatry squad... but will be great that the SL go to bunker or fire base and ask for the kits of all squad. i think its easy... in the request kits menu select kits for all squad with some variants

infatry squad
infantry light AT squad
infatry HAT squad
saniper sqd
recon squad (with marksmann and support probably)
mech infatry sqd
pilots sqd...

that will fix a lot problems of lone wolfers... and not teamworkers
its possible? really sorry my bad english, i hope the people understand me. greetings from spain. ;-)

Welcome. this has been suggested before but you cant make the squads get only certain kits unless the SL can get them a like you said.

However I do like your idea, maybe a option where the Squad Leader can pick the kits his squad uses. There is a 'Manage Squad' option in BF2 and PR. Why not code another option in there where the SL can choose the weapons for his squad.
No, in combat I don't want to sit in a panel saying which guy to get what. It costs my guys a leader and only gets them killed.

sorry if the idea post before...
but sometimes in the game i have a problem with the kits of my squad. i configure the mission and the kits and after one casualty i cant remake the same type of sqd and need cahnge the mission... probably if we can select the kits for all SM in the first time of the combat dont need to do other work in other place of the map.
if we select infatry squad and only this kits (support, light at,...) are aviable in our r.p. dont need to change the mision.

its a nice idea. But what happens when one or two people die, spawn at firebase and the rest of the squad is miles away. Than they are stuck with the basic kit. While normaly they could just pick the kit they want and head on up to the rest of the squad.

this not exactly my idea... the people who die respawn on the rally like always...but only can request the kits of them squad type.

well my idea its not so strict, no select the kit for the slots... will be great too but...
im saying that squads/kits only for distribute the special kits and configure the work and the missions of the squads. if u are the SL and select ur "heavy at squad" u know wht kits are aviable on ur rally, for example the riflemans and medics to give portect to the sepecial kit man...and always the same in the map/game.
if the heavy at man die... he can get the kit in a few minutes in the rally and not a new man in the carrier or in the main base... this squad will do the same work (looking for the armors fr.ex) mmmm its an idea that need to perfect by the DEVS i can t explain better.

That's Brilliant, truely is. That could work.
This is an excellent idea, and fits somewhat with my post on selecting the original kits from main, however I must say that this would probably be a better way of implementing it.

The only problem that I can see is when squad members wish to change to some of the unique kits (SAW, HAT, etc.). These could also be limited by the SL depending on the squads battlefield role.

Not only would this ensure appropriate kits for each squad but it would also prevent kits going to the wrong people. For example a sniper squad would be able to select sniper and SF kits and would not be hampered (as often happens) by people from outside the sniper squad selecting sniper kits.

This also applies to pilot kits extensively as the number of times i've seen random people making of with transport helos when there is a commander designated air trans squad I cant even count.

This should also be a responsibility for a commander to ensure that he designates squads to appropriate roles and that those squads receive the appropriate kits and equipment to perform their roles.

I would put this one to the devs cos its an excellent idea, esp i feel with the additions listed here.

yes man... the commander probably have the last word. but this could be a problem without he...
the squad/kit will be requesting like a fire base or bunker in the commander menu.

It would also encourage people to be commanders and give them a greater sense of control over their personnel, whilst still giving the ground personnel a degree of freedom in their kit choices, as if they dont like the kits available to the HAT squad for example they can join the MEC INF squad etc...

Yes i did read it and was merely expanding and commenting on it, to include the idea about commander influence on the available kits to each squad

would like to see that SL be able to set the selection for roles with squad. Must say that i think the idea of chosing what your carrying would be nice, limited to class like the wookkie MOD would be nice too.

ur old idea? i think about that a long time but i didnt had enought eglish to explain...
wht problems had ur idea? why didnt implanted on the game? You might contribute...
i belive that this form of request kit will open a new frontline configuration. maybe we would see squads of fire support cording a village waiting the squad assault... for example
this is a way more realistic.
