Medic in PR
I noticed that especially some clans started to play like human waves with 5 medics and one officer. They run you simply down on CQB maps, then they revive all who were killed. If you kill 5 of them and dont guard them but go to flag, their number 6 revive them. If you kill them all, their first one respawn as medic and revive all other. So you get no kills, they dont lose tickets.
On this point the reality goes ad absurdum in my opinion.
I started the thread because i hope that Devs fix this problem and make the game more realistic.
I suggest,
under current system:
1. Medic Kit should disappear as fast as civilian
2. No more then one or two medics in a squad, for that maybe make Medic Kit limited
3. The respawn time should not be shorter then the time you have to lie wounded on the battlefield
or
Make it as it was before 0.8, if you didnt got first aid quickly, then you should die.
or
Let everytime you shot down a guy count that and other team lose a ticket.

I've noticed this as well and am glad you brought it up. The medic kit being limited to only one or two for each squad is a good idea. However, I don't think that last point should be implemented, as it removes one of the key advantages of having medics.

Thats ****! Crazy players who want to play this game as a game instead of a sim. Too bad this happens all the time. Like that m203 trick where one spots and the grenade launcher acts like a mortar....
Kinda agree with the points there. Too bad that if I as a normal medic in a normal squad get shot I cant be a medic anymore. So it should be requestable from the rally? Or doesnt that help the problem?

Re: Medic in PR
I think only the first point would be needed. If the kit disappears immediately, then you cant use their kit to revive them, but you CAN however revive them if they have another medic in the squad.
If a squad wants to go all medics and have only Irons, so be it, thats a drawback right there...
Limiting to one er squad could also be nice however, I wouldnt like it if it were a specific number per team [like the SAW] because then you might not be able to get one in your squad, which would be pretty annoying...
Meh
Good idea about the kit disappearing though, I think it make good sense that a friendly shouldnt be able to simply pick up a downed medics kit and use it on the medic to get them up...

If it's really a big problem you could use the FH2 system (but related to your squad not the entire team) and maybe limit it to 2 per squad.

yes, but keep it a spawn kit, reference PRSP, it should be limited only in the manner that a max of 2 can be in the squad
3. The respawn time should not be shorter then the time you have to lie wounded on the battlefield
remember its a game, 2.5 minutes is quite a long time in a game

no, this makes the medic job less realistic as charging across the street to heal people will make a return
Let everytime you shot down a guy count that and other team lose a ticket.
No, if the situation like you described happened, the medic will be very vulnerable to being killed sine he'll be healing. If he manages to pull his situation out of the fire kudos to him, if you cant kill one medic who hasn't got his gun out and one wounded guy who can't see...thats ur problem not the medic's

Terrible idea, you're punishing squads who play Ambulance (Yes, I have seen it happen, though mainly on Insurgency Mode), and additionally, you have six people, they have six people, engage at range and destroy.

I dislike not being able to grab my squadmates kit and revive him so we can go on functioning again. Guess that its gamey though as in real life a regular grunt hasnt got the experience to get his medic/corpsman going again.

Re: Medic in PR
This is a good idea I like the idea that the kit disappears instantly as this seems much more realistic as a regular GI should not have the experience to simply pick up his mates kit and immediately act like a corpsman. Also the idea of limiting it to 2 medics per squad seems sensible and the coding i believe already exists for this so hopefully shudnt be too difficult to implement.

This was already suggested by me in an earlier thread and it was generally agreed that it would not work as it would be very unrealistic to be able to simply run to an RP, select medic kit, heal all your squad mates and then carry on with your previous role.cyberzomby wrote: Kinda agree with the points there. Re: Medic in PR
Saddist i really dont see that being a problem.... that concept really only applied to RPGs pre-.7 before they were taken off the Spawn Screen... not to medics..
Personally i've never seen this problem happen where there are "too many" medics. I usually play medic because everyone else wants to do their own "uber-l33t" thing.
However, you did bring up some good points. I could agree with the fact that the kit, once its dropped should disappear quickly. Whereas medics have specific medical training, your average grunt doesnt have the training needed to save someone's life. We can use this concept as a metaphor as to why the kit would disappear quickly. (and yes... i do know there are people that have better medical training than others, but arent medics in the squad perse in real life).
The Limit to 2 medics per squad is a better idea i think than the fact that the kit should disappear. Then again, this also has the problem that you might have some idiot in your squad that spawns medic, thereby limiting the effectiveness of your squad, if you already have a medic.
