[?] Waterplanes?
Simple question...can the standard waterplane_128 be rotated on its z-axis without crashing a map?

Re: [Question]Waterplanes

I think X, Y and Z are different in the editor, but if you rotate a waterplane around X or Z in the editor, so its at a "slant" as such, I hear there are problems in doing so thou not 100% sure what they are.

Re: [Question]Waterplanes
lol - when I posted I was looking for a youtube clip showing what happens when you try to swim ( or even walk ) near a very slanted waterplane.
On my map, they are only slanted a couple of degrees, but I cant see why you would want to slant the 128 waterplane more than that.
What are you trying to do azreal - create a waterfall?

Re: [Question]Waterplanes
well if you want to make a river that flows "down hill" as such, the water shouldn't really "slant", instead it will more or less be flat due to gravity anyways, so the most effective method IMO is to do it the same way I did it on qinling, which is to make little waterfalls blocked by a load of rocks and just do "steps" of the water levels to get to the bottom. Only problem you get by this is the waterplane cols do overlap the waterfalls a little and you can get players swimming in thin air but not a big deal IMO.

Re: [Question]Waterplanes
I have ended up creating a load of waterfalls for that reason ( I didnt plan to ) The slant now is really impossible to see, and was really due to me being a bit lazy on one or two short stretches of river. If you are planning to connect loads of 128 waterplanes together make sure you "connect" them by entering the cordinates manually to the waterplane. If you try to line them up manually by dragging, you will never line them up properly, and the lightmaps will have lines on them.
