Muttrah Ambient Sounds (First Aid Here!)
Hey,just a small issue, but, think it's only when around docks area..I might have to go back and check, but when walking around, you hear the ambient sounds, but you always hear a "First Aid Here!" voice in it..I know you'll probably say, well there's probably a Marine near by,but it does this on empty server, and when no Marines are on the land..So just telling you guys.

Ever since I've been playing .8 Muttrah I've heard it,but I just now reported it,lol..If you just stand in the docks area (thinks it's just in the docks area) you can hear it..

really? let me check the file but ehhh, when listing to it before putting it in i never noticed it...
EDIT: just listed to it again on really high vol, couldn't hear it...
try playing it yourself with VLC or something, you can find the file in: c:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\mods\bf2\Common_client.zip/sound/levelambients/operation_cleansweep/harbour.ogg

You sure man,I have a friend that plays with me too,and we hear it every time we play the map..Gotta really listen for it.
I'll go in there and listen to it though. This isn't anything big,so it's cool if not fixed.

EDIT* I heard it,it's fainter in that,than in-game though..In-game you can hear it easier..It's at about 0:32-33-34..right before seagull sounds..Really faint listening to it on there,so really listen..But I guess it can't be fixed,but it's cool..Most people probably don't notice,or care for it,lol..Isn't a bother really,just thought I'd share it,lol.

the map jabal al-burj, at the count down screen for round start, you hear a weird windy sound that sounds like souls moaning. what is that supposed to be anyway?

May be that sound, the wind blowing through the pipes and etc. on the Dam.
That sound is on Kubra Dam too.

I didn't believe it when it happened, but i think i heard it today. The server was populated, but there was no way someone was calling "First Aid Here" nearby. Maybe it has something to do with Audio drivers, i switched to my Realtek drivers from my X-Fi because VoIP kept cutting out and I heard it. And it was before the seagulls popped in so it fits.

Re: Muttrah Ambient Sounds (First Aid Here!)
It takes place at approx 31 seconds in and is panned hard left, very quiet in the mix. Straight after the sample in question is another voice, lower in pitch, central panned this time but similar in rhythm then immediately after this a single loudish squawk of a seagull, all within the 31-34s time period.
I tried to isolate it as much as possible and to be fair the musical notes behind the suspected voice are pretty much the same as the 'First Aid, here!' shout. Couldn't say either way if it was or was not the same sample, especially after looping it for a minute or two as it becomes what you want it to be after a while.
Takes some young ears to notice that detail, I'm guessing that agentscar is under 20. Shame mine aren't that young anymore

Re: Muttrah Ambient Sounds (First Aid Here!)
I was thinking it could be just a play of notes that sounds really close to the saying, but since we have all been exposed to the 'First Aid Here' phrase, maybe it just sounds like it even more.
