Re: FRAPS frame rate?
Well Us tv's run at 29.9 frames while us europeans use 25. The human eye cant spot a difference higher than 29 or 25. You can spot lower differences though. The lower the frame rate the more laggie it looks. Imagine running PR from a slow computer. That what you will get with a low frame rate.

Re: FRAPS frame rate?
I have set it on 40 fps because i like to play it abit smooth. And because i always render my videos on 30 fps anyway.

Re: FRAPS frame rate?
use 30 fps for recording, this gives the most smooth video output when you watch your stuff
25 is an argument when you´ve got framedrops to lower than 30 (also reffered as jitter) for 20 or 15.
or if you´ve got a high end rig, use 30 fps + lock it down with vsync, this also adds clear and smooth movement video without tearing
and for cyberzomby, get yourself some information about >30 fps:
AMO.NET America's Multimedia Online (Human Eye Frames Per Second)
edit: jup, mora´s right, depends also on your output rendering settings for your final vid, It doesnt make sense to record in 30 fps and then output render it in 25 or vice versa

now whats the difference between half size and full size?NickO wrote:Run it as 29.9999.
Works fine if your rig can support recording without crashing.
Also run at half size.

Re: FRAPS frame rate?
The difference is that half size records half the resolution you have now. And full record just what you see, no compression.
But be aware the videos files are REALLY big but in exchange you get a uncompressed file, no quality loss.
