More guns and bullets make bad guys go away faster,
which in turn makes everyone in the area safer.

Re: Norwegian design plan
With the number of Glock tutorials done by members on the board, there should be an abundance of glock models ready for in house use

No we are going to use the H&K 416 and the AG3f2 and AG3F1 versions as well as the H&K 417 for marksman.FastWinston wrote:we know, but are sticking to the AG3 for now since it is such an iconic piece of gear![]()

Re: Norwegian design plan
The F2 is still an AG-3.
Actually, I've done some thinking: how about using the HK417 as the sniper rifle, as that's what it'll actually be used for in real life, and a DMR version of the AG-3F2 for the DM? Just slap a scope and a bipod on it, job done.

Re: Norwegian design plan
that would be closer to real life yes, since the norwegian army doesnt have any snipers, only marksmen. You could also use the våpensmia nm149(?) but it is being faced out as far as i know...

Marksman - Squad - HK416 w/ Acog 4x (Trijicon 4x32 ACOG Scope TA31RCO-A4CP (TA31RCO-A4))
Sharpshooter - Company - HK416/HK417/NM149(not for long)/.50cal M82A1/PSG-1(MSG 90) not many of it, but it exists.
"Snipers" - Battalion - same as company.

Re: Norwegian design plan
ACOGed F2 or 416 for Marksman, then. Thought you'd rather use the F2 for the 7.62 rounds in PR...
EDIT: Do you know what sort of scope the snipers use on their 417s?

Not desided yet. But I've heard something about Schmidt&Bender 3-12x50. Can't confirm that though.

Re: Norwegian design plan
That's pretty close to what's on it now. Reckon we'll use that for sniper, then, and the F2 with ACOG for designated marksmen.johnandreas wrote:Not desided yet. But I've heard something about Schmidt&Bender 3-12x50. Can't confirm that though.
That'll make the Norwegians a bit different from the other factions, as well. Scoped riflemen here get 3x zoom instead of 4x. The DM will get 4x instead of 6x (I think). That'll, hopefully, make people use the heavier weapons to take out enemies from far away, like in RL. Should make things interesting.
Winston: something like that, yeah. Seen a few F2s with standard AG3 buttstocks. Does anybody know what these are called? Or who uses them/why/how they're used?

Re: Norwegian design plan
The difference from F1 to F2 is:
F1 comes with a collapsible butt stock only.
F2 comes with a collapsible butt stock, picatinny forend w/vertical grip and sight rail w/ Aimpoint Comp M2.
Marksmen tends to use the standard butt stock because of more stability and recoil reduction. And a bipod. 9-12"
3x you say? We have the Aimpoint 3x also.
