Post by DEDMON5811 »

Ok so are there different forms of abr? I see guys on other servers that claim to be abr picking up rank but my abr stats dont transfer over.

ABR can operate on a server by server basis and not as a larger thing can't it?

Server by server would be stupid.

GH tracks stats but ABR on GH carriers over to most over ABR servers.

Server by server stats - ok
Server by server abr - pointless

Pointless perhaps, but judging by some admins and server owners I wouldn't be surprised if they had server by server abr.
Not everyone is aware of logic.

I have said a few times before that stats shouldnt even be in PR. It was a relief to switch from vbf2 to a mod with no stats like it used to be in all other BF games. there were 3rd party stat tracking sites but it wasnt in your face in the game, which was good.

I just wasn't aware that any one cared. There is such an emphasis on team play that it just didn't cross my mind to see how "I" was doing.... I still don't care.

If a server does use ABR, those stats go to battlefieldranking.net and are shared with all other ABR servers. There's no server-by-server ABR stats.

It is, however, possible that a server that claims to be ABR is not. To see whether a server is actually ABR, you can use the list in the ABR client, or have a look here: http://www.battlefieldranking.net/optio ... rld,5.html If it's not listed here, it's not an active ABR server.

I played on Tactical Gamer's Mod. It has no score at all and it's unnerving not knowing your score. How do you gauge your improvement? How do you know if you hit the target. With no score, the game should all paper target shooting.
