Would it be possible to make dead bodies last on the map forever or would is that hard coded(or lag the server to much). I hate how in FPS's the dead bodies always disappear. I think it would add extra realism to the game.

My guess that it would lag servers.

kits can be made to stay for as long as you want via python, havent checked bodies, but as a worst case you could always just make a dead solider model and spawn it at the location where the player died. would have to happen of course as their 'old' dead body was fading away. then despawn it after a while, like 15 to 20 minutes.

well could they make the dead models less detailed? that might lessen the load.

Dead models are player models, not a separate one.

I did this before in my personal mod and in all honesty while the idea seems to be cool at first it sucks when you have about 70+ bodies in one area.

yeah after a while it would just look like a giant massacre everywhere. plus, it wouldnt look realistic at all to have dead conventional forces lying around everywhere. I dont know about the MEC {which is fictional} or the PLA, but us Americans never leave our fallen on the battlefield. i think it would look cool with dead insurgents lying around though. i dont think they care lol.

would be pretty stupid if the same player would have 10 bodies littlered over the map.
no, the way it is now is fine imo, with the opacity to judge time of death and everything.

Some insurgents like to remove the bodies of their fallen so the US can't get an accurate count of enemy casualties.
