yes mortars are in the game. the insurgents and militia can use them on certain maps.

They are in game as a new version of the JDAM - works similiar to it.

I think player controlled mortars were/are planned too, but something is making it difficult. Probably a good system hasnt been found or it would take away too many soldiers from the field.

yep... we added them for a test build...but they havent been finished yet.. I did get to play with them on 7gates once a long time ago...pretty fun marking targets with smoke...then smoking them...hehe...but the aiming system has yet to perfected...very rough..
