There have been many suggestions like this, but not quite in the same way... Potential for abuse, but I'm not sure. I reserve judgment till I see others thoughts on this.

Re: squad leader request kits for squad.
The only thing that would make me hesitant about this idea, is being able to arm an entire squad with specialist kits. Sure, you'd have to work with a few other squads, but in clan matches that's hardly an impossibility. If it were possible to squadlock the kits somehow, it'd be better, and I like the fact that this would require relatively little restructuring of the kit system.

I agree with the medic^ I'd like to see some tests of this idea.
And yeah Gazz, it would help to prevent sniper request then leaving stuff. *shakes fist*

I don't see how it'd be much different to now, other than the positive side of people not requesting stuff, then pissing off.Tirak wrote:The only thing that would make me hesitant about this idea, is being able to arm an entire squad with specialist kits. Not to mention the bad SLs. What if an enemy light vehicle comes right straight to your rally point/capture point and your SL is metres away? I'm against this suggestion.

Re: squad leader request kits for squad.
interesting..
might have the positive effect that SL can decide which kits he wants for his squad and that the squad stays together but on the other hand i think the negative aspects will have a greater influence...bad SLs,frustrated players, not being able to react to a certain threat as wanted....

If the vehicle is coming for you, its most likely to late to request it due to the deployment time, unless he is very far away.

that's a great idea, i personally hate when my SL tells me to be a rifleman AT and someone else in the squad takes that kit.

"Meters away". Agreed, what's he doing so FAR away?! Metre plural, has to be at least 2 giant steps away, a distance that it takes a vehicle 1000's of microseconds to close. Or is "metre" >> "meter"? perhaps the joke is on me...victor_phx wrote:Not to mention the bad SLs. sorry, I like the idea of the SL obtaining kits for crew...

you will probably be fine if the vehicle is metres away...Swe_Olsson wrote:victor:

takes away from the realizm... you dont see a squad leader with 7 or 8 kits on their back... it's fine to me... truck, vehicles, outposts, etc are ideal!!!!

Nor have I seen a backpack capable of carrying infinite numbers of DM rifles, AT tubes, lmgs etc...HELPME7 wrote:takes away from the realizm... you dont see a squad leader with 7 or 8 kits on their back.
A change of system would be no more or less realistic, its just an area of the game that necessitates some kind of mechanic to allocate kits to players.

sound like a great idea to me...there is AFAIK already a squad limitation for requestable kits i belive so that wouldnt be an issue...and this would make SL's able to make sure that his infantry squad does not include pilots and snipers.

I hope that this idea will be implemented in project reality... or something like this. The selection of the kits and the type of squad for the sl is really important. i like it.
