Hey guys.
So I saw this video on msnbc about Korengal Valley.

In this case, the US was out there searching for insurgents alright, just like on PR, but they weren't looking for caches, rather they were just trying to figure out where they were.
So I was thinking, it definetely makes sense to look for caches in urban areas, but in rural areas, wouldn't it make more sense to just find where they're spawning? I mean, its the exact same thing, but in rural areas its the spawn point that would be looked for.
thoughts?

It's a very simple idea, but I could see it building to something very useable/implementable. Although Im not sure how much it would add to the game, it could still be a nice touch, add a little more variation to the gamemode as opposed to just simply looking for caches.
Cuz I guess in reality you are...well obviously doing more than just finding their caches. You're looking for their hideouts[in game now, which is nice], looking to route them out of an area, cutting off routes they use, finding mortar teams, etc. A lot of that is done simply by playing against another team obviously, but like I said, Id like to see INS gamemode grow to include a few more things rather than just finding caches as the main objective, who knows though.
I think itd be really nice to get some more of these things implemented.

Yeah the insurgency game mode needs a little more cowbell.

well i would LOVE to see them going after our spawn it would be a american killing fest (specially with the ones in the caves
) but if we did that how would we get our beloved PKM's and RPG-7's? also it would take away the insurgent advantage of the US not knowing where to go next till they get some intel wich is where my fav tactic of stalking and ambushing US squads who are looking for caches as they would already know where to fight (go to where the insurgents are coming from) basically its a good idea but game play would be just bad

I actually try to hunt the insurgent spawns even now when in US side, so I don't think removing the caches is needed. But if it'd be done then the spawn locations should be random. The current model too would receive benefit from the ins spawns being random IMO

Imho it would be great if insurgents could spawn at the caches. This way no cache would be totally undefended.

I think we should have a mode where you have to find their grand-parents, so they can ground their pesky little insurgent kids ...
But that's perhaps beside the point of this thread.
