VOIP channels and an in-depth commander interface
VOIP Channels
First, I think there should be a couple different channels for VOIP, if this is possible. All of them would be used with different keys.
a) Squad channel - verbal communication among squad members. Already in PR.
b) Vehicle channel - verbal communication among personnel within a vehicle. This would be especially helpful when the pilot (who is not a member of the squad) is flying a squad and the squad leader wants to tell him where he wants to land. Would also be helpful for tank crews (commander would be able to easily give targets to his gunner (for example, "T-72 2 o'clock"). Basically, this feature would improve communication among vehicular crews that are members of different squads.
c) Commander to squad leader channel - commander can talk directly to his squad leaders. I think this is already in the game.
More in-depth commands for commander
Right now, the commander is a job that doesn't require much of a brain. Usually, the commander just tells squads what to attack and what to defend (aside from dropping supply crates, which we all know is a chore).
The available commands at the commander's disposal definitely need to be revamped so the commander becomes a much more tactical job. When giving an attack order, he would be able to tell a squad where to attack from (N, NE, E, SE, S, SW, W, NW) instead of having to hastily give movement orders to his squads. Perhaps he could tell a squad to do recon far ahead of the main force. Maybe give the order to put suppressing fire on a certain location (while another squad would flank).

I would like to see a "global" channel. Where basically your voice transmits over your entire team. This could help alot with asking other squads to reinforce or help with specific objectives. Since when your in the midst of battle many people including myself don't pay attention to text messages. Voicing over your team can help alot.
Some smaller ideas that may help. On your HUD it should have a "current channel selected". Meaning you'll know which channel your on so you don't have to hit a certain button for one single channel. You only press a "next channel" and "previous channel" key to scroll through the channels. This includes global, squad, vehicle and commander.
It also helps to have a certain color code on the player's name who is speaking. Now technically you hear voices from all channels, so to help distuingish who and where they're talking from, color code the names. Green is squad obviously. Blue for a friendly, red for vehicle and maybe gold or some other color for commander.
What do you guys think?

The "ammo here," "clear," and all that useless **** needs to go. Completely gives away your position and takes away from the feeling you get during a firefight.
Hell, if Taco Bell was in on this, the medics would be doing the little hand motion (from the commercials) and say "You have full health, so you're good to go!"
Maybe there could be another channel for squad leaders to talk to pilots so he can call for air support.

The commander needs waypoints kind of like in the orginal Ghost Recon so he could tell them ot recon one point and when they get to the next dot say, "Go to assault mode" and then lead them to a flag. THe commander does need some kind of brain to lead in regular BF2 because he has to keep the squads inline and think ahead of the enemy. In PRMM though, the commander barely has any use especially on GloryHoundz.
