ok, that's really odd...

Last time I checked the stats of the Tornado GR4 on the RAF site I sware to god it was much faster than EF2000, something like mach 2.5 but it says now only mach 1.3 .....

I can remember talking to CAS etc about it...

Al right now I am confused, need stat's from some where else. Thou that is the reason why the Tornado is so fast ingame, I dont belive it should be able to out turn a fighter but we made it so it was to its realistic speed, which has now seemed to have changed.... :roll:

I dont need any other big maps like these 2. They take way to long for my liking :) Kashan is better than Qinling because theres a bit more action in there. But Qinling is so flat. at least in my experiences.

I find both maps, Kashan and Qinling, rather boring. On public servers its usually plain vehicle whoring, leaving no room to good infantry battles. And with these big maps, you have to wait forever until you end up in a good firefight :) I think we need more maps like Op Barracuda, with some intense infantry battle combined with light vehicles.

Lol, always the same....

Kashan and Qinling aren´t for infantry battles, so if that is what you are looking for there are plenty of other maps. In fact, for vehicle whoring there are only 3 proper maps to do it really so you have alot more choice. ;)
I think we need more maps like Op Barracuda, with some intense infantry battle combined with light vehicles.
I think we need more vehicle focused maps, since that is what there are less of. ;)

Only 2 good maps :) If the 3rd is Kufra i dont agree :)

Well Muttrah is the only other map with attack aircraft and kufrah is the only other map with tank battles.

I think qinling is one of the most beautiful and almost balanced maps there is in PR.

It is also exactly what PR is about imo, real combined arms battle between all units. It has almost everything on it, tbh most maps should be like that.

Completely Agree. I was playing earlier today, had a squadmate take off after i spawned in the 2-seater jet. He gets nailed by aa, so I go to main and we both get in a tank. We make a quick run to south of village and what do i encounter but 3 tanks. I took 3 shots that disabled 1 and dropped another tank. 1 vs. 3 and i did pretty decent. People who hate vehicle maps either lack the computer to play them or are complete infantry whores. I think ramiel is a good map, but tbh i get sick of close quarters since recent updates have made close quarters combat a little harder than previously (sorry they are for me). Keep the vehicle maps up, there are only 3 really.

P.S. If you run a server, try to include more than 2 maps in your rotation. No one likes playing the maps they hate over and over again when ur server is the only one populated.

So Rhino you're saying that the air to surface missiles and the bombs on the SU30 work just fine,assuming that the "gunner" knows what he's doing?

and you have a spotter that knows what hes doing and a pilot who can fly at a good attacking angle for the target for the type of weapon being used and compensating for terrain and other obstetrical that may obstruct the target ye.

rest assured, there is nothing wrong with the SU30 nor the tornado, if the bombs dont go off or miss then its a problem with the user i'm afraid :wink:

I agree, we do need more big maps, but not like Kashan, we need a big map, with a difference but that has lots of vehicles. Maybe an Afghanistan based map? Like Sangin I'm looking forward to, and Korengal is going in the right direction, and it's great to see Code Red going in the direction of a big Afghan map with to quote 'A-10s and Apaches and other **** I can't talk about'. That to me feels like a the future of PR for vehicle lovers. (Said by a complete infantry whore.)

Short answer is there are maps in the works that are at this size. So you just have to wait...or jump in and see what YOU can pull off. :-P

Unless Any other reasons to keep this thread open?

Well keep it open and see what constructive idea come out, as in ideas ideas ideas. There are allot of mappers out there that haven't start. :-D

OK let's assume that 6+ experienced tournament players don't know what they're doing.Why then when the SU30 is in the hangar with 1 pilot , on the missiles looking straight ahead and an officer standing in front of the plane and lazing a tower 300 meters away -there is no "target box" for the pilot?
For the Tornado it comes up right away,but not the SU.


That's all I got to say really.
(sorry comrade don't mean to derail this thread -Kashan ftw)

Don't get me wrong I am not trying to piss all over this map,I do like it - has the best clouds too.
Just want to make sure that everything works as it should and if it's "user fault" then that's what it is.
I got no problem admitting it.

P.S. Fools road has some "transport" as well so that's 3 really big maps - Kufra is not that big imo

Maximum speed of (let's say) mach 2.2 would be at the certain high altitude (say 10 km or higher), not at the low altitude like ~1km and under. For example here:

When I tested the Su-30mkk in testing which I did a lot of there was no problem, but I have not "gunned" in it since release since I prefer to fly them rather than gun, I have gunned in the Tornado thou.

So unless something changed between one of the very last beta's and release that I very much doubt cos no one touched them just before release afaik then it should be working fine.

It might be cos your on the ground and the viewing angle isn't correct, try a fly over a a open area and dont try sticking the lase to a friendly vehicle cos that wont work.
