Why is there no sound when the trip flare go of?

Yes there is... it makes a hissing sound, go on your game in training mode real quick and lay a trip flare I don't think it's very loud though.

I think he means something different. In the swedish army we placed tripwires around camps and bases. Once set off they gave out a loud whissling sound and a bright light. Like firework
