What happened to iGi and Thor - the GOOD guys?

Just played at 10th something, German something, full server, good squad, but no TEAM play.

SyKo, your comment "let us PRO's do the job" really sums up what can go wrong in a team orientated game like PR.

10th are great guys as well.

our server has had a laps of inactivity last month which is a real pity, our members (me included) just need to put the effort into seeding it every night, which can be a real chore

iGi, thors and 10th all still get great numbers of excellent, team oriented players, just like TG, T&T amongst many others.

Perhaps you should have joined a different squad.

Sorry for the discombobulating topic/message.

I was only wondering why I can not see any crowded iGi servers anymore, and gave an example of s**t teamplay from the 10th German Whatever I was at for about 15 minutes to realize there was NO chain of command, NO purpose, NO design, NO idea, and 6 tanks scattered around the map (the desert map, whatsitcallednow?).

Therefore I was only voicing my frustration, looking to find iGi & Thor's (let's be honest, 2 BEST servers out there, when it comes to teamplay and less ***-facery) because I don't see them on my crowded servers list.

Are you guys (iGi) shutting the shop down or do I have some dumb filter on to prevent me from seeing you lads on the server list?

Lol well theres a word i've not heard in a while.

True the iGi server isnt quite as regularly full as it could be but, just like the ETU server once it gets going it fills up very quickly indeed with some excellent players.

Why not put yourself on there get bodies on the server and watch it fill up? As gazz has pointed out seeding the server is something that clans will sometimes inevitably struggle with so why not help out by seeding it yourself?

The map ur talking about is kashan desert and its an interesting map as it demands something slightly different from the players when compared to other PR maps. If you dont have good teamwork on kashan it is very easy to get wrong, and thats probably wot happened to you.

Perhaps you could hop onto the 10th community team speak which is advertised on the server and get some teamwork going that way.

Or try commanding and getting the squads to work together and coordinate.

That is one of the great things about PR is that the game is what YOU make it

The fellow I was chatting to was from a different squad. He was obviously a very talented tank warrior and did not like my questioning why we had 6 tanks on the map, of which NONE were supporting any of the infantry maneuvers in order to cap the flag.

Nothing bigger than that, my squad was alrite, stand up guys, getting slaughtered by enemy armor because of... well, you read it before. And that led me into thinking "ahhh the good old iGi/Thors, no 15-year old tank star would ever slag me off by 'LET THE PRO'S DO THE JOB'" you know?

I am only looking after the word TEAM here. Not SQUAD. One good squad can do f**kall when there's 6-12 people (outta ~32) sitting in tanks up on the hills, having a wee thai stick - knowwhamsayin?

I'm just here, babbling, to spend time and see some life on any other servers - thanks for your words guys!

Also, I have to add, I could not command a full team. I have not enough hours under my belt. Sure, I've played PR from 0.4 on, but not enough, not regularly. I like a solid team, good squad with VOIP, fun lads who don't use words like "fekk off noob" on the chat, you know, good times.

Maybe I need to go for teamspeak, dunno.

Me and my friends have been getting high ping on iGi server lately (since .8, didn't play after .6 that much), over 150 as it used to be about 60 when we played in those teamwork nights. It's not awfully high, but high enough to prefer other servers with smaller ping. Have you made any changes to your server, changed location or something?
T&T is great though, small ping and nice teamwork almost always.

But while igi and Thor are great, T&T and the Big D servers are always great fun.

Big D is at the top of my list lately, lots of aussies...and we all know how much they kick ***.

Learn to play with high ping, I'm in australia and my ping is always 200+...even on Aussie servers I'm on 100 - 130.

I do play on TG server in the mornings when there's not enough players on european servers, the ping is between 140-200, doesn't really cause any problems. But during european peak time (8pm and later) there are just too many better choices with smaller ping, so I don't really see any reason why I should go on those high ping servers (unless all the low ping servers are full ofcourse).

Yeah, thats sort of it. A lot of people play different games now and the others either have work/school/university (I for example can´t play during the week, due to not having any proper internet and only a laptop) and/or lost interest and can´t be bothered to seed the server.


Hopefully the patch will change this.


I agree there is a great lack of teamplay though. It all these wonder squads but no wonder teams. It seems that unless you are a known regular or a clan member most of the time everyone ignores you and I can type things all day in chat about targets, whats going on, who is defending etc and never get a response.
