Hello everyone,

I recently purchased bf2, and downloaded the PR mod.

Well, bf2 was crashing a bit, but still working moderately well.

I downloaded the PR mod and would get an error message upon starting it... I downloaded the latest bf2 patch, and now nothing works.

when I open bf2 or PR.. my screen flickers a bit and nothing starts up

is there anyone who can give me a hand? I'm dying to try out this mod

firstly what are your computer specs?

uninstall everything,

then install BF2 followed by 1.41 patch

then after that install BOTH Pr Core and Maps

well I got it all working but mnow it is saying my cd key is invalid when trying to join a server?
this is a purchased copy of bf2

I have had that before. run the patch installer again. I had to do it 3 times before it worked. It's a BF2 thing (not PR). They encrypted the CD key or something. I think there's a registry fix for it, but just run the patch installer again.

Before installing the whole game again, try to run only the registartion code dialog:

Code: Select all

C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\Support\Battlefield 2_code.exe

(it's under 'Support' folder if your install path is different)

Enter your cd-key there and try again.

alright... well now when i start PR up, i get the message saying that i need to start it with pr.exe and notbf2.exe... but i AM launching it from pr.exe

I said just run the patch again. The above never worked for me. I had to run the patch (JUST THE PATCH) a few times... but try it. Try anything to get it working lol!

ADFP. Check the properties of the shortcut, just to make sure it points to the right place.

pr.exe is in the right directory..

I am still getting this silly message when starting it up "PR needs to be run fro PR. EXE and not BF2.EXE"

create a shortcut with this propertyes

""H:\EA GAMES\mods\pr\pr.exe" +modPath mods/pr +menu 1 +fullscreen 1"


WITH THE INVERTED COMMAS. DONT DELETE any of THE INVERTED COMAS

H:\EA GAMES\mods\pr\pr.exe represents your PR directory, yours would be C:\programsfiles\eagames\battlefieldII\mods\pr\pr.exe or something like that

to create a shortcut:
right clik on desktop, new, shortcut, an assistant will require you tu introduce the info I gave to you, finish.
