Tactical Gamer 3.0 is a complete mod for Ghost Recon. It includes a variety of both single and multiplayer missions as well as an all-new campaign. Over 30 new weapons and kits are included.

This is the 3.0 release of the Tactical Gamer GR Mod. It is not an upgrade from 2.0, but rather an entirely new release.
Says nothing about frostbite does it? does it? Point Proven.
The TG community has a history of creating mods like this for other games. Some of the more popular mods were for the Ghost Recon game where there were over 6800 downloads from fileplanet alone. You can find the mods here.

To evalute TC3 i went to my desktop, clicked the Ghost Recon exe shortcut that links to C:\Program Files\Red Storm Entertainment\Ghost Recon\GhostRecon.exe (are you still following me or are you lost already).

Ghost Recon loaded in about 20 seconds to the main menu from there i went to options, mods, and activated Tactical Gamer 3.0 Final and placed it under Desert Storm and Island Thunder, i then proceded to press accept. I then proceded to play with it for about well wow... your right about 8 minutes.

I found problems with the load up screen, duplicate kits (omg i haven't even started the game yet).

At this point it doesn't matter. Your *fill in the blank* speaks for yourself.

From the full FilePlanet description (not the "short" description):

Tactical Gamer 3.0 includes a variety of game-changing settings for increased realism and tactical play. These changes include the removal of fire indicators and enemy map locations, custom map grid references, realistic firing rates on all weapons, realistic ballistic damage models, realistic night vision resolution, and much more!

Requires: Ghost Recon, Island Thunder, Desert Siege and Frostbite 1.3 expansions.

You need to define your kit selections in the setup. If you select the "TG3.0" kits there are no duplicates. The mod is capable of using ALL available kits from any activated mod on your system or can be configured to only allow use of the TG3.0 kits.

If you can't meet the necessary requirements for the mod (IE: Not having FB1.3 installed) you will have issues. If you need any other assistance with the requirements, let me know and I would be happy to assist. :-D

While I'm not a developer on the Tactical Mod, I do have some input on the development. The Tactical Mod by Tactical Gamer was originally developed internally to serve the goals of tactical teamplay in our community. The mod itself has undergone many iterations and many tests on its way up to version 1.0. Around version 0.8, we started to receive a number of inquiries (mostly from similarly minded clans that we scrim against) on the distribution of the mod to their servers. The TacMod team decided it was worthwhile to share the mod when it reached 1.0 and we removed some of the more onerous changes such as increasing respawn death penaltys that fit our player's mentality, but reduced the initial impression of the mod.

While many of the changes we've made could be considered "reality" focused, our goal isn't a "reality" mod unto itself; Rather, it is to achieve a game that more enrichingly rewards teamplay and selflessness and diminishes the rambo and twitch tactics that dominate most ranked and tourney servers. In general TacticalGamer.com has a pretty strict code of ethics, SOPs and Rules that keep all our games tactical and teamplay oriented.

If you have any questions about the mod I would be happy to answer them. In addition everyone is invited to join us on Thursday and Sunday nights when we turn our 64p server #1 from vanilla to TacMod. Other nights the mod is available on our 48p server #2.

I absolutely remember you!

We have a spare AMD 64 3500+ server sitting around for the next month, so I ended up installing PRRM on it. You should come visit again and play!
