Has anyone thought about restricting PRMM servers.
there must be 25 or 30 servers running PRMM right now, I saw 2 nearly full servers, and the rest were pretty much empty. I think it might be a good Idea to restrict the PRMM to maybe 5-7 servers. that way when we, the gamers who play the mod go online to play, there are not 3 people in 20 diferant servers. there is 20 players in 4 servers.
what do you guys think???

I can understand where you are coming from, But how are we going to tell which server admins can run PR? or decide which of the servers now to get rid of? We just can tell people that they can't run a PR server, they all have their right to host their own server.
But do not worry, PRMM.3 will definately bring back a bunch of the old PR crowd, as well of tons of new people to play with

That'd be sweet if we could figure out how to make massive maps, huge ticket amounts, and 100+ capacity servers, and then have a MMOFPS!
I could see this happening on a map like Jabal, something really big and diverse so it dosn't get boring. Set the tickets up to like 5000, and allow 128 players, and have that be the only server.
With the current configuration, however, no.

Its possibal to make servers 128man, or above (think the max is like 1999 or somthing). The big problem is over how much can the server take, the server bandwidth, and the clinet bandwidth would have a big effect at that ammount of players. Its easy to do it on a LAN thou, as long as every 1s PC can handel the strain of that manny players on the map.

Well, I would guess with the impementation of new vehicles such as armored ambulances, you could set up hospitals for injured soldiers. Likewise if you were a mechanic you could roam the map looking for tanks and vehicles to repair.
It's definetly possible to make a server than can support hundreds of people, plenetside and other MMO games did it. I think you just have to link many servers together to make a massive "super server". This would cost alot of money, so we might have to end up paying a monthy fee, but I wouldn't mind that.

Very good points, but, I wounder how many people out there like the MOD, but don't bother trying to play because there are to few servers with to few players? I was thinking that PRMM should ask that those servers that never have anyone in them, stop running PRMM for the moment, or possibly the PRMM mods could ask the players to frequent ceartain server?
