Whats the problem?
Well ive seen from many videos of taliban firefights n stuff, that the taliban use their weapons more from the hip than the sights, something that cant be done in the mod, because ingame PKM, AK-47 recoils too much when NOT using the sights.
Suggestion:
Reduce the recoil mainly from the PKM , this woud give us the ability to fire sum rounds on the target from the hip (as they do in reality).
Well i mean, at least reduce the way the monitor shakes when u squeeze the trigger, Leave the accuracy the way it is or else well go back to vBF2 where u just walk around shooting everything...

in Patrick Bishop's book, '3 Para' the British troop remarked that at least some taleban groups were capable of advanced infantry manouvres; in that case to fire and manouvre in order to escape British forces. Its not much of a stretch in my mind that they actually aim rather than hope divine intervention will direct their spray and pray, but then again suppression fire isn't always about killing is it? ingame you can just point and shoot and bullets go generally towards the target, either getting them to think twice about coming out of cover or giving them the suppression effect<- which works wonderfully now

The shaking thing is a tough one, since BF2 can't have the un move independently to the avatar's view alla ArmA, so the shake a by product of recoil which iirc the player should control. But since there is an engine limitation there, there is a case for changing it. There are already animatinos for the recoil of the gun as well, but I'd rather not impose a deviation system since that feels arbitrary when the game offers you recoil you can control

Obviously it does. If you're asking something to be more accurate in game because the video shows someone firing from the hip it is implicit that your agrument is that the person in question is more accurate than the insurgents currently portrayed in game. Therefore it is necessary to be able to see where the bullets are impacting to tell if the video does indeed show that the person is more accurate than current in game insurgents. Otherwise the video doesn't prove the point you're trying to make with it.

My point is if the DEVs coud reduce the way the gun shakes when u fire it, doesnt matter what and where the rounds hit, cuz if u squeeze the trigger for 3 seconds in game wit the pkm, the gun goes all the way up , that just doesnt happen in reality, as u can see from the video...

yep, but that guy is using the sights, the other one isnt, and the only reason i dont post the taliban videos i found in the internet here is because people will start political discusion and i might get my account suspended for that, it already hapened once but admin gave me a 2nd chance.

He's probably straining really hard to control it though, you can do the same by pushing down on the mouse when firing to counter the recoil, the gun in video is still bucking all over the place.

Although I take your point it seems to be less extreme, but then its difficult to judge from a video.

Thats because muzzle flashes are something hollywood put in your mind. They only happen once in every set of couple of shots.

Not to mentioned, firing from the hip, especially an AR class weapon, is NOT something we really want in PR.

Just an aside, you can't fire from the hip in PR, just from the shoulder.

Also don't forget that in alot of war torn countries kids are often taught to shoot at a very young age, so it's not all that unlikley that some insurgents will be very skilled shots, despite their equipment's shortcomings, of which they will probably take into account.

His point was that the way that some insurgents and militiamen use ARs has a use, it's suppressive fire intended to scare the enemy, just like how the conventional armies use machine guns.

The thing is, if you hold the gun to your shoulder and look through the sights, the force of the bullet leaving the barrel will throw your shoulder back (Newton's 3rd Law), diverting your aim.

If you suspend it from your shoulder, you are still going to be very inaccurate (represented in the game by bullet deviation), but the gun wouldn't end up pointing in the air, at least not if you fire in bursts.
