US Army Rifle
If the US Army changes it's individual combat system (or whatever it's called) within the next year or so, will this change be shown in PR or would it just be too difficult to do this to change an entire faction's main weapon?

Re: US Army Rifle
You are thinking of the Objective Individual Combat Weapon program. The goal of the program was to bring a whole bunch of new weapons into the service, one goal was to replace the M16. The project was discontinued, however a few participating companies took the designs that were developed in the program and finished them, two of which are the XM8 and the XM25. The XM25 is actually just being put in the field now, so I guess you could say the project was a remote success.
AFAIK, the devs do not have any plans to put the XM25 in PR.
There are no plans to replace the M16/M4 weapon set in the near future, although the military has begun to search for a new weapon.

Re: US Army Rifle
In regards to us putting/getting it in game if the change occurs...
Just think back on how long it took to get the M16's for the Marines in PR
Took a bit
But seriously, I hear every other day since I was in like 3rd grade that the US is changing its rifle. I can almost guarantee it won't be happening any time soon. Not with the fact that the M4 and M16 have already gotten so much work put into them, and they are already widely available[already produced, on order, in the hands of soldiers, in armories, etc etc etc]
Sort of like a "if it aint broke dont fix it" but more of a "Well, its doing fine, sure itd be nice to have a new toy for every soldier but think of the costs hmmm..... yeah M16/M4 aint too bad"

Re: US Army Rifle
No Im not thinking of the OICW I was just trying to get th correct name for the main battle rifle in use. (IE Mortar System, Heavy Weapons System for M2, ect ect)
And I mean if the current call for amazing stuff the army has called for, and it culminates in a new rifle, say the Magpul Masada is chosen(theoretically) would this rifle be put in game soon or would it just be left as is?
