Plans for a rear gun on the Chinook

Post by ReconAus »

Simple question Do the Devs plan to mount a 7.62x51mm M60 machine gun on the rear ramp of the Chinook like IRL ?

Examples:
Image
British Chinook
Image
Dutch Chinook

Recon

Rhino, you must, must, must make it have a decent traverse on the GPMG, both up and down!
Using it on the landie is strssful, since you have the same arc of fire of a gas-cooker.

Hmmmm what could of Bob edited? It wouldn't have anything to do with something very specific regarding ammunition could it?...

It would point out to readers that the weapon employed on the rear of the chinook is a GPMG, it is not the GPMG (ie, a member of the L7 family ). Its an American M60.
The key to modernising any weapon is covering them in glue and tossing them in a barrel of M1913 rails until they look "Modern" enough.

well its pretty simple to do determine if the chinook should get a minigun or not. does the british chinook use a mini gun in real life? my uneducated guess is no it doesnt. but i could be wrong. however there may be like a SAS varient for the chinook that does but that wouldnt be the one the devs are working on right now.

good god people, I'm already a little worried about the rear gun as it's where probably troops might be popping out, but a minigun?

Soldiers: "Go Go Go"
Gunner: "hold on, CONTACT! stand still, I'll shoot between your legs!"

I thought the minigun could only be used in the door mounts due to the need to power the weapon.
The key to modernising any weapon is covering them in glue and tossing them in a barrel of M1913 rails until they look "Modern" enough.
