Added support for the US Support Truck?

How about simply, mounting a .50 cal on the US 5-Ton Support Truck in the front of the back where the troops sit. (could also be enabled for the brits if deemed necessary{the truck would still carry crates since its a support truck]) - recently edited this part in about still carrying crates.

This is in fact used in real life (started back in WW2), and yes you could still enable troops to shoot while sitting in the back of the support truck. (this could only be an option for The US, since I have not seen a Russian, or Chinese version of this put into practice) but it gives a little added protection and only adds to the realism in Project Reality.........

Players would probably start using the truck as a front-line vehicle if this was added.

I understand, but i don't understand why there has to be a automatic counterpart for the MEC, or the Chinese. I mean, The MEC or the Chinese, or do not have an equivalent to a TOW Humvee, yet they are still used in Qwai.

The MEC Vehicles/Armor is limited/Restricted to whatever is basically used within the Russian Military. (With the exception one could say of the H&K Weapons)

The Chinese Vehicles/Armor is restricted to China's Military Weapons (and Russian influences)

The Insurgents, have no money for Armor, and are limited to black market weapons/captured armored pieces that are repaired or stolen in decent condition.

The Rebels Vehicles/Armor are restricted to captured Russian equipment and weapons and what is able to be purchased on the black market.


I did state that I have not seen a Mounted Gun Truck used previously by the Russians or the Chinese, if anyone has seen these please post a picture.

the 5-Ton truck when you come to think of it is such an important tool within the US Military, and adding a mounted .50 cal could make its purpose that more important, or maybe mounting a .50 cal could only be used as an option on Insurgent maps?

There are two kinds of bradleys implemented already...
A) TOW Bradley - That can carry troops

B) AAV Bradley - That cannot carry Troops and strictly for Use against Air Assets (though they are also used for infantry/vehicles/structures).

The TOW HMMWV is a good defense against a tank, but its stil considered a 4 wheeled vehicle.

The Stryker until there are other versions (AT/Mark88 Gernade options)are added is just a .50 cal APC that doesn't stand a chance against a BMP. It is a good addition though, and I can see its role growing further.

I am understand your thought on this, I will look for a Russian and Chinese Counter part and post if I see anything.

If it has something to do with the models and geometry of the support truck as it is right now i understand, but to be honest i am clueless as to what asymmetrical balance is in regards to video game development.

*Also note and I apologize, i realized i wasn't clearer initially but i also think that since the Support Truck cab is a hardtop that the .50 cal mounted gun could be placed behind the cab itself, that was one of the versions i was looking for to post but was unable to find.

Assymetrical balance is when one team has something that the other team has, but the other team has something to compensate it with.
Like the chinese on qwai river: they have tanks but the us don't instead they get the tow humwees.
Or insurgency mode: The conventional army have effective guns and vehicles, which the insurgents don't have, but in other hand the insurgents don't have to bother as much about dying, have the defens role, which means they easily can set up ambushes and such.

The opposite would be like lets say operation ghost train or kashan desert: both teams have pretty much the same equipment and the same conditions, thus it wont really matter on which side you are.
