My PR VS. BF2 movie is up!

Same here. I mean BF2 is better than any other FPS game. Good graphics. Large maps. Vehicles. What more can you ask for?

But when I downloaded PR .5....WHOA, This is the REAL Bf2.

Well like I said, things like grenade spam and chopper ramming were what surprised me. Allow me to regale you with a story. A story of pain and sorrow, but with a light at the end of a long tunnel .

My fifth or so time in a round was also my worse BF2 experience and force me to search for a mod or something to improve gameplay. "Good old WAKE ISLAND" I thought, I had had much fun on it playing BF1942. Spawned as PLA and ran around a bit to see the similarities from BF1942's wake.

After I satisfied my nostalgia I ran over to a recently spawned jet, I thought "Sweet lets see what these jets can do" (pausing ever so breifly to wonder how a medic knew how to fly a jet), anyway I hop in in time to see a Blackhawk dive-bombing at me. I think "Oh ****!" and attempt to hop out only to be killed by the explosion and a message saying "Hey Dude388 you got 733t pwned by my chopper! Ha HA!".........

After that little escapade, I decided to try some infantry combat...expecting organized and tactical advances with my squad with armor support. I was instead greeted by no link-up with my squad and promptly run over by a friendly jeep rushing for some armor....wonderful . So I manage to spawn on my squad leader who was just standing behind a house throwing grenades over the roof onto the flag while, occasionally stopping to throw a ammo pack down. I ask my squad leader if we are going to assault the flag, his brilliant response was "No way! I'm getting loads of points!" And was rewarded with a kick from the squad for arguing about why that was a bad attack plan. This was followed by a prompt-to disconnection by me and the closing of BF2.

So after about a month or so I adjust to the odd gameplay style of vBF2, however I always wanted to actually play a true war-type simulation with BF2...So I promptly went mod searching. I was rewarded with a well recognized and well rated mod called....(guess it? ) PROJECT REALITY.

When my brain needs a break from all the tactical fun of Project Reality, I usually load up ETQW first, then maybe a vBF2 round if the ETQW servers are lacking. They both still have the fun, mindless shooter moments that I enjoy .

YUP same thing i do if i get bored of all the tatical things i go to AIX or a bit of nilla bf2 for some fun since i rape at it! =]

Bf2 is still fun as hell. When playing with friends that is.

Public squads are terrible.
