[SERVER SIDE] Spawn timers & maplist

Few days ago played on one server, and got instant spawn when killed
(but not when suicide)

Talked later with server admin and discovered next:

1. They using bf2ccd
2. They havent constant maplist & changing maps "on fly"

It means that they clearing maplist & adding next map few mins before current ends

As I understand all done trough bf2cc client

-> as the result some times (dont remember for sure) killed player instant spawns after 1 second death

I would call it as a bug, but maybe caused by this way of server managing

Hello,

We are having the same issue on our server. Except we are not changing maps on the fly. Our maplist is pretty stable at this time.

The key to fix that I have found is to (while the server is stopped) add one map from the maplist of the game mode you will be using in BF2CCD in our case its Mod :P R Mode: gpm_cq and then save the profile and apply it. Then you can begin to add to your map list in the order you wish to add them. You should add maps of the same size category and not mix 15, 32, and 64 man/slot maps into the same list just all 64 or all 32 if possible. Some of the maps are only available in 32 slot or 16 so those maps can go in with the 64 which is what we run. After adding the other maps you save and then apply the profile. Start your server. Here is what causes this map list to be corrupt sometimes I have found. If you change the Mode of the maps. You cant do this.

On the issue of the 1 second spawn time, I have found that we get it quite often. Only a restart of the server fixes this. I dont know why it does this and I dont see any log errors.

I've experienced this bug on TG servers a few times, and disappeared after a map change.

Cool thanks for the heads up on the map change thingy. Ill try that now. It seems to come back quite often and I was really hopping for a dev team fix or workaround anytime soon. People have been complaining about it on our server lately.

This seems to be a common and widespread issue so I will just keep checking back here for the help from the PR guys.
