it will be running server v0.509. The client needed is v0.506

Got VOIP working, still need to update PB. There are a few tweaks here and there. Sometime today, once its up and running smoothly the IP will be posted.

Since you can't really run 0.8 and 0.5 at the same time, because both mod folders are called 'pr', don't we need to rename the 0.5 folder to something like 'pr05' or is the server running just 'pr'?

You can have both version installed. Just rename your current PR folder in /Battlefield 2/mods to PR_08 or something and then you can install 0.5

Then you can get it back. Unfortuantelly, new PR menu doesn't support changing mods so you have to go through BF2 if you want to.

I find 0.5 to be pretty crappy tbh. I downloaded it many weeks ago, to walk through its maps. The quality of today's maps is so much better, the sounds are better, the gameplay is better, etc. You can hit things more easy though, but I'm sure 0.85 will bring back that goodness.
And lol at those voices, how annoying are they!

*** UPDATE
you can run both PR v0.809 along side PR v0.506 just create a shortcut on your desktop for
C:\Program Files\EA Games\BF2\Mods\

that way you have quick access to change the folder names on the fly.

And if you cant tell the difference between folders open it up and goto levels and see which look familar to the version. When you figure that out and know which version you want to play then just rename the one you dont want to something. Then name the one you want to play to PR.

Well one of them needs to be renamed anyway, you can't have two 'pr' folders in the same directory..?

Also add this to the first post so people can check it to see if anyone is on..?
