Grenadier Kit with multi smoke colors

Post by Tirak »

Just a small suggestion, give the Grenadier a faction smoke for his grenade launcher. Sometimes an SL wants to mark a position but is too far away, the Grenadier kit has a massive range, by giving him this SLs will be able to mark targets for those not in his squad.

You can open up the map and place a marker.

That cannot be seen by other squads. It servers the same purpose as the regular faction smoke, just gives it greater range.

Seems simple enough to me and it makes sense.

  • Place attack marker.
  • Open commo rose -> Contact Report.
  • Press V -> "CO, infantry/tank/etc. at the contact report."
  • CO marks target for other squads to see and give them a 3d marker if the threat is nearby a friendly squad.

I like it- since you can't see off the map where enemy infantry markers are- It would make things a bit easier.

What if there is no co?

I like the idea +1.

That's a problem?! :p

Like the idea alot, it's a bit of a shame there's always a way round using signal smoke, I always use the SL one out of principle when I get a pickup cos it looks awesome, but people very rarely seem to use the stuff.

Give it back the old sights. Everyone is good with it nowadays.

The only way that any multicoloured smoke would work is if there were no markers atall, i think this would be a good move (and who could argue with the realism) marker smoke and bearing would get a whole lot more useful

good idea¡ smoke granade with color to indicate enemy positions... but only it might to do in maps where the enemy was remaining hidden and in defensive. can you imagine more uses?

How often do you see regular grenadier smoke being used?

The more the merrier, if you ask me. Give him 3 regs and 3 colored (don't link); 3 smokes usually don't cover all that much area, if deployed all at once.

The grenadier deserves toys anyway.

There was a rumor about incendiary grenades in the translated changelog. Is there any chance that the grenadier will be able to launch white phosphorus?

Sounds good to me. Reminds me of the ol' Op Flash.
