Hello,
IIRC all of you, and me too, are pissed about those rolling apc´s while standing or staying on a hill and no possibility to drive half speed.
There was a function in Battlefield Apocalypse, it was used like a handbrake, which allowed you to move back a bit. Too bit for the current APC´s in PR, but if you could implement it softer and just make it so minimum that in fact you just stay put, at least on the hill.
Also while using it to move you forward, it could open the possibility to drive slower, or used as a brake, you could hold it to reduce speed.
Here the approximate video recorded today:
Keep an eye on the meter for the primary weapon.
First I keep the car from sliding down the ramp, and then I stay at the same position while pressing forward and handbrake. Then I press the key for short periods.
Its just the matter of tweaking this stuff to be effective and right.
Maybe the Doomlab guys will tell you how to do it.

Bit of a pain in the arse, but definitely worthwhile if it works. However due to the differences in the inclines your going to encounter, it'd probably be impossible to balance so it's actually useful.

Re: APC like in BFA
I dreamt last night of Turkey and handbrakes for APCs (no joke). A quick search of the forums found just this thread. Could there be a way to park an APC on an incline and keep it in one place?

I cant think of any reason why this would be bad, it appears to add some realistic effects in a engine that struggles sometimes.

Trick:
Change position while driver and then change back, this way you will stop moving for a bit.
