Stick with 4km. Its definitely more immersive, offers far more replayability and overall much more immersive and better for non repetitive gameplay.

I've commissioned some new walls from my local wall merchant (Ghost) and I was wondering where they should be exported to? They are mostly using the Village textures but they are more the size of the Afghan stuff. Should they be exported to a new directory or an existing one?

My opinion is add these to a Object_client.zip and Object_server.zip. This way we will add them into the proper place.

Under each zip create a folder structure matcing the PR one. Then create a new folder called darunta and use that. If we decide to move it in the future its not a big deal. If you need more help PM me later and I can show you.

What I did with the Korengal statics was to create a folder named /pr/AfghanNorth

My computer has been screwed for the last month and a half so I haven't been able to really do anything which is a shame because work was gathering pace before. Ghost has been busy though and there may be an interesting new thread soon ;)

When it would be very realistic to have this map as a British vs Insurgents (/Taliban) map, with using the scenario game mode for quite a good setup with both sides having objectives you could make a very unique and realistic map, even if very hard to balance and enjoyable, but you want to go with anouther AAS map with it just being based around a dam that happens to be in Afghanistan?

anyways on the map side of thing, your minimap is looking quite good with the mountains to the west, thou your mountains to the east without a good texture look rather dull..

Your terrain to the south looks like its going to be needing lots of work still, but ehhh your WIP pics of your village look ehhh, really bad for the most part... its just a load of buildings thrown together with not much thought put into them, using all types of statics which dont match or work together etc... buildings so cramped together without a purpose look really bad...

as for your new dam, can we get a clay render?

Battlefield and Project Reality based on near futhere maybe mecs will enter afganistan in futhere.
and this map beter then Jabal we should replace Jabal with this one.
and it shouldnt be Insurent map we got operation archey and no one play it
so it should be AAS

I'm sorry, but I agree with Rhino. I'd prefer if a Taliban version of this map was made rather than MEC. And no, don't replace Jabal (altho it's the most paradoxal of maps in PR), it's a fun map IMO.

Just an idea terror, but if your going to make this map brit vs taliban why not make it the kajakai dam. It is realisitc because the brits are the coalition force tasked with holding it IRL.

Your map is looking good btw ;)

Well that's kind of a good point but we wouldn't make it Kajaki because it is Darunta and we've designed it to be as near to perfect scale representation of Darunta as we can using the tools, models and photos we have. It would make more sense to make the map US vs Taliban (or Insurgent) in that regard because the US are in that area but it's kind of a question that doesn't need an answer right now. My personal preference is leaning towards Brit but that doesn't mean it's a forgone conclusion.

It was a joke mate, dam maps are fun just make some new statics, jabal dam remind me of kubra dam vbf2 epic fail.

Maybe because the dam structures (statics) are exactly the same?
Heck, Kubra is more realistic, the only problem is the airport down stream lmao :p
