[Question] Including Objects from other mods.

How do I add statics that are already made from different mods inside the maps. Ideas? and same with changing weapons? An example of what I mean is with Al Basrah V2. How TERR0r made the field engineer kit. Tutorials would be really helpful.

Well you first need to have permission from the mod, if and only if they give it too you then copy the object you wants file and place it in the current mod that you want to bring it to.

mistryman3213 be very careful with using other mods assets. With out there permission your looking at not only No help from this community but also the backlash of stealing assets. If you do get permission they we will be able to help you more. Good luck!

ok. i will get rid of the items. supposedly a good friend of mine asked rhino and he got the ok. its from the mod armored fury. but i got rid of the items just to play it safe XD. thanks for the warning CodeRedFox and Soucy. But what about the weapons thing. like Basrah V2 field engi for us army?

Wait, wait. Armored fury? Thats an AddOn, not a mod. Still, you'd need permission, if it is not a map for PR, but since PR already has the permission to use Add On content, you can of course include it into a PR map. And since Rhino said it is okay, it sounds okay to me. Please clarify.

You only need permission if you're going to release it.
If it's for personal use, go ahead, there aren't any rules against it.

if he is going to use PR or BSS or other mod/game models whit out permission of the developer he is having COPYRIGHT issues, whe can SUE hiss *** off for a few bucks (read couple of million) :mrgreen: , personal use or not whe can SUE him then. no questions ask'd .

yeah... lol well i got rid of it just cause the map would be big as **** in size. But so HOW DO I CREATE CUSTOM KITS?!
