Smoke Grenades

Post by Fluffywuffy »

Would it be nice to give a tear gas/you can't see **** effect when your in the radius of the smoke grenade?

Reason being you can see 10m outside of the smoke. Wouldn't the white phosphorus tingle your eyes?

Surely the whole preventing you from seeing though it, is enough?

The screening smoke grenades depicted in-game don't use white phosphorus filler, but hexachloroethane (HC)or terephthalic acid (TA). Th M8 is the generic smoke grenade in PR, so it would be HC filler; but you are correct in that it will irritate your eyes (among other things) and should not be used in confined spaces for those reasons. TA is safer, but the majority of the time, nothing good for your eyes, lungs or mucous membranes comes from the burning of any kind of chemical.

You have a point and we'll look into that. :)
