Rifle Aim

Post by bravoss »

When aiming through the ironsight, aimpoint or a scope, is there a time until the soldiers calms down and can shoot accurately, because sometimes it seems that after maybe 2 seconds of waiting before taking the shoot the bullet spread is smaller than shooting right away after aiming the target. Also between the shots, does the rifle fire more accurately if you wait for some time after putting your sights on the target or you can just shoot straight away after you aimed it and it won't have any effect in terms of lower accuracy?

Waiting is good, about 2 seconds but someone who plays currently can tell you more for sure on the amount of time.

There are various threads on deviation you can read into, though its getting tweaked in .85.

As for the second question, I forget if thats in PR now. I want to say it is, but if not, I am pretty certain it is planned for the .85 patch.

Though, numbers aside, the most important thing is realizing it is there, and playing around with it for awhile. Eventually, as you may have noticed, you begin to automatically consider your movement and wait before shooting.

Things affecting deviation are:
moving using the directional buttons[you must wait after this]
turning VERY quickly while scoped/sighted in
Ummm... pretty sure after jumping too... and shooting while jumping/moving is a bad idea unless they are right in front of you and you have no choice, etc.

I also THINK you must wait after sighting in period. Even if you werent moving. So whenever you sight in, you need to wait just a second or two for better/best accuracy.

Okita! LOve your avatar man!

I think you gotta wait a sec or 2 between the shots as well indeed.

I have figured this out in .75

For Snipers. 3 Seconds = Perfect shot. Just make sure your Crosshairs, are about 1mm above the head.

Rifles = 2-3 seconds= 3 seconds guaranteed kill.

You're on the right track.

Thanks for the info guys. I was always waiting between shots and wondering if I was doing it for nothing. Sometimes I would even get killed because of it, since I did it even at fairly close ranges :-D
