Didnt find this under already under suggested.
How would it be to give the US 2 first cappable Flags instead of one single (Swamp/Docks/Bridge). Its really annoying to see, that on most pub games the us dont even managed to get a foothold on the island, because the team is most times unorganised. The PLA on the other hand concentrates all their forces (AA/Nanjig/Jeeps) around that single flag besides tactical Air Defense Positions elsewhere.
My last 10 rounds on Barracuda ended always up with the US trying to surround the PLA and failed, or even whorse whole US Team sitting on the Carrier without Choppers. 2nd part is extremely boring for the PLA.
So why not give the US the possibility to cap two Flags in the beginning. The PLA has to devide their troops, that makes it more easy for US to get on the island and an inf fight can take place.
My opinion is that this map is such butiful and unique that it would be a waste to let the fights only take place around 1 Flag before tickets run out.
I know, the procedure of getting a bridgehead ist different from Rushing the single flag with choppers, but on pub games it rather frequently happens because each squad does its own thing and got whiped out.
Maybe its worth a try to change Cap-order on Operation B.

US team got hueys, one with ground attack capability, if they are unable to take one flag and move on with that, I doubt they would take 2 either. They should try to get foothold around the flag first, you can still build firebases, even without flag. I think change what should be made is to move the trucks a bit back so chinese can't get bunker build to flag instantly.

Re: Barracuda Map Layout
Have you noticed that there is no Ticket Bleed for US at start of game
or even if the US are sunbathing on the carrier!
The Loss is usually caused by everyone 'blindly' running into a
strongly defended area!
It is imperitive for the US to establish a defendable foothold
on the island. And it does not have to be on the beach or just
outside the 'attack marker' either!
The problem in 'pub' games (as pointed out already) is the Zerg Rush to
cap the first objective. When we can almost be certain that
PLA have got 500 nanjings and an AA set up by the time the first Huey
takes off! US should not look at it as a race, but instead as a marathon!
IMO The first objective should be to set up a defendable stronghold
(perhaps at a vacant flag position) start spawning humvees and then
draw the PLA out of their fortified position.
Alongside this Important Objective, the US could run an expeditionary force
into the first Flag, if nothing else it creates a distraction for
the defending force whilst the Real Objective is accomplished!
This leads me onto what I consider to be the one thing lacking on Barracuda.
Boats! I know it's been mentioned before, but it would
seem the logical added asset to combat the dependency on Helos.

I think boats, APC and 2 capable flags are all things currently under review for change in .85 . As mentioned in past threads on the matter.
I do like the idea of moving all the command trucks away from the coastline, dont think thats been mentioned before but could be something a dev has already changed.
