No plans to change insurgents spawn points.
Well, looks like I won't be playing insurgency anytime soon (except Albasrah v2)

The kit layout is still WIP (work in progress). You can rest assured that any kit that gets a less preferable weapon, such as the SKS, will have other additions to their kit to make up for it.

There are many reasons why Insurgents in Iraq have access to G3's. They have been found in abundance by coalition forces in Iraq due to them either being left over from the Iran-Iraq war, or have more recently been supplied to Insurgents by neighbouring countries.

All of these pictures are of confiscated weapons in Iraq

Isnt it possible to make killing civilians legal as soon as they

a) stand near a insurgent (to avoid human shields - noone would blame the soldier for that accident)

b) Injure a soldier

?

Server admins were provided with a hotfix after 0.8 release that fixed that issue. If your server didn't update it, nothing we can do about it. Of course it's fixed for 0.85.

the G3 is not wrong, the fact is that the insurgent dont own it, he pick it up from the cache (in RL) that was my point.

what about on maps like basrah ... reducing the hideout distance to less than 400m on maps like basrah and korengal ?? but keep it larger on bigger ins maps?

Perhaps, remove hideouts, and make caches as spawns? :D

Caches will never be spawn points, just forget it.

Something needs to be changed for insurgents whether it be more spawn points (and don't say hideouts that's just lame especially when the caches are very often very far away from permanent spawn points and with that little sprint and very few hideouts coalition forces don't have many problems finding and destroying the caches), 20 second spawn time for insurgents with no penalties (except for the ones that suicide or die with a valuable pickup kit such as RPG, SA7 etc.)since your "policy" about insurgents is that they are there simply to get pwned by the other team or simply make caches spawn points until they get destroyed. As a coalition soldier I would expect some resistance around possible enemy cache location most of the time and not like now where resistance around caches that are not located near permanent spawn points is almost non existent or very weak most of the time.

However the fact is that playing as an insurgent is not fun as it used to be. Giving insurgents a few new cool looking weapons won't change that in the long run ;-)

only half of the changes are good :( but most of them good enough to fix the others :) [like the new kits, will the first one should be tweaked so coalition can get intel, BUT it will only reveled in about 5-10 minutes, unless hardcoded, and then its about ok] also i wish old cool RP will be back, even with server crashes :(

I think insurgency kits need pistols... specially those long range riffles that are a complete mess in CQB. I don't think it would be that hard for an insurgent to have an old pistol.

Claymores are the most intriguing part of this update.

Well, hopefully with that 3 minutes, people will have enough time to get to the caches.

3 minutes can be long in some tense games.

A kit with SMG would be quite cool. One of those Ppsh's or maybe simply a skorpion or something.
