Vehicle explosions

Is it possible to make vehicle explosions better with the BF2 engine? Like make parts of the wreck tear apart and fly away and all that, more fire etc. Would be really nice to see in game. Maybe the tearing apart part mostly go for jeeps,trucks and not so much for heavier armor.

I believe it is possible, but takes alot of work.

If it is possible its most likely something that would require more power from your PC. We don't want to exclude people with lower end rigs from the mod just to make it look a little cooler. Vehicles blowing into a bunch of pieces isn't tool realistic either. They normally stay pretty much intact with stuff like doors maybe coming off. Unless they get hit with something particularly nasty. I don't think the engine allows for different levels of carnage based on type of damage. I agree it would be cool, but probably can't work in this game.
