More Seats!
I've noticed that the majority of vehicles in BF2 now support 6 passengers (perfect for squads, clearly no coincidence), but one vehicle that fails to have any transportation capabalities that could is the tank. Due to BF2's slightly patchy engine, it's not possible to surf a tank, and at least not discretely. How about adding 4 seat positions where the player's sitting on the edge, just like the Little Bird? Players can hitch a ride with the tank and fire weapons their own weapons and have a fairly large rotation, just like the Little Bird. Bonuses of this include:
1) More teamwork. Teams can stick together more.
2) Less walking! Everyone hates to have to walk accross terrain because all the vehicles are used up.
And best of all, the gameplay balancing remains. Riding on the tank doesn't make it a leet machine, but it gives you the chance to earn more points, but it also makes you a big target to other armour, or anything else for that matter. It's hardly going to affect gameplay and it'll add to the realism, so what do you say?

so basiclty what you are asking is that can players hitch rides on tanks?
It could be done i would have thought. Just add a player postion onto the edge of the tank and when they press E they get onto it.
Not sure it would really be used much in PRMM as the maps aint that big to stop you from walking...

Maybe there can be a crouch feature much like the turret, so the passengers need to get real low or they get thrown off and killed by the cannon.
I guess this is a shortlived idea then, though it would be nice to keep teams working closer together. Maybe hitching a ride on planes?

dont worry, it might have wokred better with a sherman tank, every one huddled round the barrels and turret but modern tanks are built different.
AHHH BUT people coul dbe carried in the baskets and metal cages roudn the edge of the trurret. Very dangerious and uncomfortable but it might jksut work!!!! sorry aobut sp, gettin to tired.

Haha @ what would happen to the infantry.
Anyway, the infantry in PR should stick to wheeled vehicles (Vodniks, HMMWVs, etc) and armored personnel carriers for transportation. Allowing them to hop onto an MBT is overkill.

America was a tad late into the First World War. They redeemed themself's and came in slightly sooner in the Second. Now they seem determined to start the Third.

I agree thogh, tanks have too meany sensors, gadgets and optics to be sat on. I could see it haperning with an Abrams tank because it has happen in Iraq but the Abrams is a different style of tank compared to modern ones. Also a Challenger 2 has no space to sit on, you will slide off the front and sides and the turret will throw you off.

Well, I was only thinking of the large gap between the base at the back where the tanks can often spawn to the battle itself, sometimes several CPs away from the action. Obviously riding into battle with a load of men sitting on a tank is foolish, but so's having to run miles because you saw a tank on the map when you chose to spawn at the back, but when you arrive two guys are already in it...
