[Proposal] Colombian Factions

I was considering what PR was missing, then I though of giving PR a new flavor, In colombia, there is currently a war ongoing, Insurgents against one of the best trained army in the globe, the colombian army, this conflict contains a flavor of insurgency and urban warfare, I have a vast knowledge of both factions, and I know all assets of both armies, another thing that can be added is liberation mode, you see THE FARC is the insurgent army of colombia, takes hostages and rounds them up in camps so the new flavor is destroying their weapon caches, destroying their drug plantation, and rescuing hostages.

1. The Colombian Army: This army is the 19th, most powerful army in the world with about 208k active troops, Their training is exceptional because of the harsh conditions they encounter, they have special divisions such as the GAULA, witch especializes in search and rescue, and the Quick Reaction Force, they also have 1 brigade stationed by major city, The most importat would be the eight Brigade. Their major base is TOLEMAIDA, Commanded by Major Juan Londoño, Where they train their special forces, and Airborne divisions.

2. FARC: It is the insurgent army which confronts the Colombian army, they have a structure similar to a conventional army, though they lack a command structure and organized training. They have several establishments south of colombia, their main division is the 43rd front, in witch Manuel Marulanda commands. They have many camps including some in ecuador and venezuela, they have a great deal of cocain plantations and hostage camps.

3. Weaponary, Vehicles, and Tactics: Even though I lack 3d modeling and texturing skills, I have a great deal of knowledge of all the weaponary and vehicles used, as well as the tactics they use, I have seen and undergone the training of the army, I also have knowledge of all weaponary used by FARC.

4. New Gameplay: To add new gameplay I suggest Drug Camp destruction witch will function similar to insurgency but instead of destroying caches, you have to set on fire, the plantations.

And we will include Brazil, the 1ª army in south america,we have powerfull arms,vehicles and jets.We have new weapons and skill very cools, and we can operate friendly to colombian army in a mod with 3 factions at same time, it will cool, or we can operate in maps in amozon to stop cocain transports,the colombians have to destroy carriers to cocain and farms,and use a historical camufled huey, is amazing,and we can use incendiary bombs,it's very cool, and the panama is now the enemy of Brazil because he don't pay the BNDES, and, he can use the BOPE, if you never wathc this film watch now because is cool and violent, and the Bope is the 2º or 3º best special police in the world.
Have more but i need more interesting and help to find programers to realize this idea.

A south american faction in general, be it Brazilian or Colombian or other, would be a great addition to the mod. Kaiser, I elect you to start this up.

Thanks guys for the positive feedback, and yes I could try to initiate a mod team, but I am already working as a game Developer.

We could have a map of pigs... er I mean police bashing treemonkey new age traveller types at one of their protest festival kind of deals. The cops would have batons and tear gas, the hippies could have weed bombs and ugly, hairy naked people running about to blind the police and choke them out with their terrible BO :D

i doubt the DEV's would do this, as you can see with community factions, new factions are more of a "do it yourself" whistle the DEVs refine current factions, new maps for these factions , gameplay and other things.

Well first its not a "Radical Suggestion" as we have a few community mods already. All your really wanted is a Colombia area faction. Nothing really hard or new here. Of course it will take some work.

Here is what you would need, two community factions: The Colombian Army & FARC. Both with new models and weapons.

I'll give you a deal you get all these ready to go and we will get a game mode that works for you.

it would be cool for PR to shift from U.S. GB fictional/current battles and focus on some of these other wars that atleast I don't hear in the nightly news. This and the Congo faction would really be unique.

I support this. It would be great for a Colombian faction to be in PR, adds more variety than the basic Afghanistan/Iraq battlefields. And you can't forget the JUNGLAS (looks at Chris Ryan's Elite World Cops thread)
