Soldier Cam
Ok i'm not sure if this has been suggested or not but I'll just have a go at it. Don't some soldiers have cameras mounted on their helmets? Well if they do I think it would be cool to maybe let the commander see from the players point of view.

Re: Soldier Cam
Someones been playing too much Ghost Recon.
The technology does exist to do that but its not a common thing. Not every soldier goes into combat wearing a camera on the head that's linked to their commander. And with advances in UAVs its almost not needed. PR try to portray the average soldier in combat since this is not a average piece of kit IMO it shouldn't be in PR.

If they do have one, its probably one they got on their own for personal use... in which case it'll be in .85.
You can get it as a small patch for 0.8 here:

I doubt spec-ops runs around with camera beaming signals back to base giving away their position. They might as well be spamming over the radios.

Re: Soldier Cam
Special Operations Units do use the more advanced technology the Military has to offer. ie. some special units are using MultiCam uniforms while the rest of the Army still has ACUs. So it wouldn't be a stretch for them to have hispeed gear like helmet cameras. However I don't have access to SOCOM, and I don't think anyone else here has security clearance that high so I guess we'll never know.

Re: Soldier Cam
I think it could be a good idea for SPECIAL forces to Link up their Soflam Visions to the Comand post So that comander can have SOME influence in the field right now the comander position is barley used and doesnt really do any thing.... Speical forces should Link up soflam vision to comand post

Re: Soldier Cam
Well it has happened in the past, fairly recently. A soldier wearing a camera which beamed video feed back to commanders overwatching the hostage raid from miles away. See if I can find an article.
Thermis has rightly said though its hardly a piece of kit the average soldier has.

Re: Soldier Cam
I can't really see the point in having it in the game anyway, what benefit would the commander have from being able to see from another soldiers POV, surely if the soldier needs backup, he has a radio button to his squad leader who then has the ability to radio the commander, therefore, it would just be a useless piece of equipment
