reinforcement flag
i think that i have suggested before but this sound cool.
what if some flag in a battlefield is somekind of reinforcement flag?
examble:fools road that train depot would be like this.
if cou control this flag you get your vehicles spawned faster or not at all(it depends)
maybe not at all, cos in some maps this would help those teams which dont have aps, tanks, humvees, etc.
commander duty would be to decide which squad he order to capture that and defend that the team gets their reinforcement.
maybe those vehicles will spawn in mainbase or in this reinforcement flag.
maybe hardcoded, maybe stupid idea but it sounds cool.
merry christmass to all...

Re: reinforcement flag
Really? You learn something new every day, and Korengal is one of my favourite maps! I always thought having one cappable flag on an Insurgency map was really pointless! Would someone care to give details?

Re: reinforcement flag
I don't know about decreasing spawn time... but I know it is possible to connect object spawners (and spawn points) with whatever flag you want so you can for example capture train depot on fools road and get additional vehicals in your main base (or wherever object spawners connected to that flag was placed)...
...that's how it was with BF2 flags, remember?

RANGERS LEAD THE WAY!!!
Do not post stupid suggestions just because you had a bad round in PR

Re: reinforcement flag
It would be good to have more flags spawn vechicles or valuble assets as it gives them strategic value. And may encourage attacks on those flags more than what occurs now. I can see this having more effect for organised games like clan matches and the tournament than public servers.

Re: reinforcement flag
On jabal this could work too, first you rush in with apc's and boats, once beaches is clear you can start flying in choppers

When you control a flag, you can spawn there. Thats what he meant.StuTika wrote:No. Care to elaborate?

Re: reinforcement flag
Did you ever play BF2? On most maps in that game, flags have vehicles that spawn at them, ranging from jeeps to jets. For example, on Gulf of Oman, the River Fortification flag spawns a tank for whichever team controls it. On Wake Island, the Airfield spawns 2 jets for the team in control.StuTika wrote:No. Care to elaborate?

Re: reinforcement flag
^only difference is, that instead of having them controllable by either side like in vbf2, only your team would gain the advantage of the vehicle.
BTW, the bunkers in Kashan also act like reinforcement flags: You get two supply trucks spawning in the most northernmost or southernmost bunkers after capturing the north or south bunkers flags, respectively.

Re: reinforcement flag
Oh yeah. *looks embarassed*
I was being a bit slow that day, and for some reason I thought there was some advanced vehicle spawning systemin vBF2 that I had missed!
A lot of the time, I think spawning at flags should be brought back - otherwise flags don't actually hold any value at all in the battle, other than controlling the ticket-bleed, which I think is unrealistic as well. Hmm, I feel some thinking and a Suggestion thread coming on...
And yes, I played vBF2 - and still do, actually. Great game. Much more action-packed and light-hearted than PR! Although, a lot of the time, the action happens too fast and I really appreciate the slower pace in PR. [/offtopic]
